Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Signs two-year contract extension
Hill signed a two-year, $9.8 million contract extension with the Golden Knights on Friday.
Hill was outstanding in helping Vegas win the Stanley Cup last season. He went 11-4 in the playoffs with a 2.17 GAA and a .932 save percentage after going 16-7-1 with a 2.49 GAA and a .914 save percentage in the regular season. It was his best season in the NHL and he's been rewarded with a two-year deal.

Hill stopped 32 of 35 shots in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Panthers in Game 5.
Hill faced pressure early in each period, but the Golden Knights eventually took over each frame en route to the franchise's first Stanley Cup title. The 27-year-old netminder was responsible for 11 of Vegas' 16 wins while adding a stellar 2.17 GAA and a .932 save percentage in 16 appearances. He's set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and his playoff performance is certain to up the league-wide interest in his services.

Hill will protect the home goal in Tuesday's Game 5 versus the Panthers, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Hill is looking to finish the job after getting the Golden Knights within one win of the Stanley Cup. He's gone 3-1 with a 2.21 GAA and a .925 save percentage over his last four contests. He'll also catch a bit of a break, as Panthers winger Matthew Tkachuk (upper body) is not expected to play Tuesday.

Hill stopped 29 of 31 shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Panthers in Game 4.
After fading late in Thursday's Game 3 loss, Hill stepped up to fend off the Panthers' third-period push Saturday. The win put the Golden Knights one shy of securing the Stanley Cup. Hill has a 10-4 record, a 2.11 GAA and a .934 save percentage through 15 playoff appearances. He's almost certainly going to start Game 5 on Tuesday thanks to his steady play since taking over for Laurent Brossoit (lower body) in the second round.

Hill will get the start in Florida for Game 4 on Saturday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Hill is coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the Panthers on Thursday, his first defeat in his last four games. He's been outstanding in the playoffs, winning nine of 13 contests with a 2.12 GAA and a .934 save percentage since taking over for the injured Laurent Brossoit (lower body) in Game 2 of the Western Conference semi-finals. Hill faced only 23 shots Thursday after stopping 62 of 66 shots in a pair of home victories to start the Stanley Cup Finals.

Hill stopped 20 of 23 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Panthers in Game 3.
Hill had allowed just nine goals over six road playoff games entering this contest. He nearly turned in another strong outing, but the Panthers tied it late in the third period and won quickly in overtime despite not having their best for much of the game. Hill still has a 2.12 GAA and a .934 save percentage through 14 playoff games, and he's given up just seven goals over his last three. The 27-year-old is a virtual lock to start again in Saturday's Game 4.

Hill has helped the Golden Knights establish a 2-0 series lead in the Stanley Cup Finals. He's allowed just four goals on 66 shots over the first two games of the series, and he'll now try to keep that success going on the road. In six road outings this postseason, he's given up nine goals while recording two shutouts and one perfect relief appearance.

Vegas didn't need a solid outing from Hill, but he provided one all the same. Hill has been one of the best surprises of the 2023 playoffs, posting a 9-3 record, 2.06 GAA and .937 save percentage in 13 contests. Before this year, the 27-year-old hadn't logged a single NHL postseason game, and he didn't receive the opportunity to start in the playoffs for Vegas until the Golden Knights were missing Robin Lehner (hip), Laurent Brossoit (lower body) and Logan Thompson (lower body). Now Hill's helped Vegas pull within two wins of a championship.

Hill had some massive saves over the first two periods when the game was close, and he stayed strong in the third as Vegas' offense took over. The 27-year-old has won seven of his last nine starts, and this was the fifth time in that span he's limited the opponent to two goals or fewer. Hill is locked in as the Golden Knights' starting goalie, so he can be penciled in to start Monday's Game 2.
