Hodgson was placed on waivers Sunday, according to Chris Johnston of TSN. Hodgson posted three goals, eight points and 83 PIM in 44 games with AHL Lehigh Valley last season. He also has one goal and two assists in seven appearances with Philadelphia over the past two campaigns. Hodgson was acquired by the Kings in a three-team trade with the Flyers and Blue Jackets in June.... See More ... See Less

Kings' Hayden Hodgson: Shipped to Los Angeles
Hodgson was traded from Philadelphia to Los Angeles on Tuesday. Hodgson was part of a six-player, three-team trade between the Kings, Flyers and Blue Jackets. The 27-year-old forward picked up eight points and 83 penalty minutes in 46 games with AHL Lehigh Valley last season. He also appeared in one contest with the Flyers. Additionally, Los Angeles retained 30 percent of the contract for Ivan Provorov, who was sent to Columbus, and acquired defenseman Kevin Connauton from the Flyers in the deal.... See More ... Flyers' Hayden Hodgson: On waivers
Hodgson was placed on waivers by Philadelphia on Friday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Hodgson got into the Flyers' 5-2 win against New Jersey on Thursday, but he logged just 4:46 of ice time. During his limited time, he didn't record any shots, points, hits, or blocks. Given his lackluster showing Thursday, it's not surprising that the Flyers put him on waivers, but it is especially noteworthy that they would choose to do so even when they still have several injured forwards. It will likely be a while before Hodgson gets another opportunity in the NHL.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Hayden Hodgson: Secures two-year deal
Hodgson inked a two-year, two-way contract with Philadelphia on Monday. Hodgson made his NHL debut this past season, appearing in six games for the Flyers in which he generated one goal on 10 shots, two assists and 12 hits while averaging 13:12 of ice time. While the 26-year-old center could see more opportunities this year, he will likely continue to play the bulk of his games in the minors. As such, Hodgson is unlikely to offer more than low-end fantasy value.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Hayden Hodgson: Heads back to AHL
Hodgson was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday. Hodgson recorded his third NHL point in Saturday's loss to the Ducks, but he will head back to the AHL for the time being. He has been shuffled on and off the Flyers' roster in recent weeks, so chances are he will be brought back up again before the season ends.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Hayden Hodgson: Back to minors
Hodgson was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Tuesday. With Scott Laughton (concussion) back in the lineup, the Flyers no longer needed Hodgson at the NHL level. The 26-year-old notched two points in his NHL debut and was then held scoreless in his next four appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Hayden Hodgson: Two points in NHL debut
Hodgson had a goal, an assist, four hits and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Blues. Finally getting a chance to make his NHL debut at age 26, Hodgson made the most of the opportunity. He needed just 6:37 to pick up his first point with an assist on the first of Travis Konecny's two goals, then Hodgson potted one of his own to put the Flyers up 4-2 in the third. The emergency recall from AHL Lehigh Valley may have earned himself a longer look with the big club with this impressive debut, but there's no need to rush out there and add Hodgson to your fantasy team at this point.... Flyers' Hayden Hodgson: Emergency recall Wednesday
Hodgson was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday. The Flyers are short on forwards currently, so Hodgson will be up with the big club as an emergency depth option. The 26-year-old has played with Lehigh Valley throughout the 2021-22 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Flyers' Hayden Hodgson: Lands NHL deal
Hodgson signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Flyers and was subsequently assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Tuesday. The Flyers likely signed Hodgson to an NHL deal for the reminder of the campaign in case they need to use him down the stretch after trading Claude Giroux away at the deadline. Hodgson's picked up 18 goals and 29 points through 44 appearances with Lehigh Valley this year.... See More ... See Less

Dennis Bernstein@DennisTFP1D agoSplit decision on LAK 1-3-1 from various Kings. Kempe and Fiala lean towards a change, looking for more aggressive system to help creativity. Moore says 1-3-1 gets a bad rap, lots of teams use it (Anderson agreed) and team modified system late in season.
