Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Still out Tuesday
Raanta (lower body) will miss out against the Rangers on Tuesday. While Raanta was able to skate Monday, he has yet to return to being a full practice participant, which will be the next step in his recovery process. Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Still sidelined
Raanta (lower body) will miss a fourth straight game Tuesday versus Winnipeg, NHL.com reports. Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Remains sidelined
Raanta (lower body) won't be available Sunday versus New Jersey, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports. Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Not available Saturday
Raanta (undisclosed) won't play Saturday versus the Golden Knights, per the NHL media site. Raanta will miss a second straight game with the injury, but it's not believed to be a long-term issue. His status for Sunday's game in New Jersey hasn't been determined yet.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Could return soon
Raanta (undisclosed) is not expected to be sidelined long term after coach Rod Brind'Amour told reporters Thursday, "We're hopeful it's not too serious, but we'll see," Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports. Raanta won't be in action versus the Flyers on Thursday but appears to have avoided serious injury. Without Raanta between the pipes, Pyotr Kochetkov has been recalled from the minors and could see a decent share of the workload, though he is winless in his last four NHL outings.... See More ... Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Exits Tuesday's game
Raanta (undisclosed) left Tuesday's game versus the Canadiens after the first period, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports. Raanta appeared hurt after stopping a Chris Tierney shot, though the Hurricanes' netminder managed to finish the first period. Frederik Andersen took over at the start of the second and would likely see the bulk of the starts going forward if Raanta is forced to miss time.... See More ... See Less -

Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Earns 32-save shutout vs. Senators
Raanta posted a 32-save shutout to lead the Hurricanes in their 4-0 victory over Ottawa on Friday. It was Raanta's third shutout of 2022-23 and the 18th of his career. He has a 15-2-3 record, 2.32 GAA and .908 save percentage in 21 games in 2022-23. Raanta has won his last five outings while stopping 122 of 128 shots over that stretch.... See More ... See Less -

Ottawa has the 20th-ranked offense with 3.04 goals per game.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Sets franchise record with win
Raanta made 20 saves in a 6-2 win over Montreal on Thursday. Raanta set a Hurricanes/Hartford Whalers record by helping them get at least one point in each of his past 13 games (11-0-2). He's 14-2-3 in 19 starts this season and has delivered decent ratios over that time. However, Raanta's .902 save percentage heading into Thursday's game was the lowest of his career, save for his .897 in his rookie season with Chicago.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Expected to start Thursday
Raanta is expected to be in the home crease versus Montreal on Thursday. Raanta has only played once in the last five games, so this seems like the perfect spot for the 33-year-old Finnish netminder. Raanta has won three in a row, giving him a 13-2-3 record, with a 2.46 GAA and .902 save percentage. Raanta will face the Canadiens, who are 28th in NHL scoring, averaging 2.67 goals per game.... Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Earns victory over Sabres
Raanta saved 29 of 30 shots in a 5-1 win over the Sabres on Wednesday. He's won his last three games while surrendering just four goals on 74 shots over that span.... See More ... See Less -

He's won his last two games while saving 41 of 44 shots over that span. Buffalo has the top-ranked offense with 3.76 goals per game.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Falls into OT win
Raanta turned aside 26 of 29 shots in Friday's 5-4 overtime win over the Sharks. It's not often you see the winning team allow an empty-net goal, but that's exactly what happened in this one. The Hurricanes pulled Raanta late in the third period down 3-2 then gave up one more tally with just under two minutes left, but they managed to score twice before the final horn to force OT, where Martin Necas ended things. Raanta hasn't lost in regulation since mid-November, amassing a 12-2-3 record on the season with a 2.55 GAA despite a shaky .897 save percentage, but assuming Frederik Andersen (upper body) can use the All-Star break to get healthy again, the pecking order in net for Carolina isn't likely to change.... Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Facing Sharks
Raanta will defend the home crease versus San Jose on Friday. Raanta picked up the win in his last contest Wednesday, stopping all 15 shots in relief of the injured Frederik Andersen. He will face the Sharks, who are 23rd in NHL scoring, averaging 2.98 goals per game.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Antti Raanta: Earns victory in relief
Raanta stopped the 15 shots he faced in relief during Carolina's 3-2 overtime win against Dallas on Wednesday. Frederik Andersen got the start, but he stopped just four of six shots in the first period and didn't come out for the second because of an upper-body injury. Raanta was in net to start the second frame, and because Dallas was ahead 2-1 at the time, Raanta was credited with the win. He's 11-2-3 with a 2.52 GAA and an .898 save percentage in 17 contests in 2022-23. The 33-year-old didn't play in Carolina's previous six games, but if Andersen's unavailable for any significant period of time, then Raanta is likely to receive a meaningfully increased workload....
