  • Hurricanes' Brady Skjei: Distributes two helpers

Skjei provided two assists, including a power-play helper, in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders. Skjei led all skaters with 21:10 of ice time, added a hit, two shots on net and a plus-2 rating to go along with his two assists. This was his second game in a row with at least one assist but he had not provided a point for four games prior to that. With 39 points in 69 games, Skjei remains a good option for fantasy teams needing a well-rounded defenseman who contributes offensively without sacrificing other categories.

  • Hurricanes' Brady Skjei: Lights lamp twice in win

Skjei scored two goals in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens. The 29-year-old blueliner reached double-digit goals for the second straight campaign in impressive fashion, getting pucks past Sam Montembeault in the first and third periods with some slick moves. Skjei is on a roll, collecting three goals and seven points over the last 10 games, and on the season he's racked up 10 goals and 35 points through 62 contests. He needs just five more points to record his first career 40-point season.

Skjei is up to 30 points (seven on the power play, three shorthanded) with 114 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 47 hits and a plus-2 rating through 54 outings overall. He should continue to see top-four minutes and playing time in all situations.

Skjei picked up three assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Rangers. The three points were a season high for the veteran blueliner. Skjei is surging along with the Hurricanes, collecting two goals and nine points over the last 12 games, and while he likely won't match the career-high 18 goals he scored last season, the 29-year-old is on track to record his first career 50-point campaign in 2023-24.

  • Hurricanes' Brady Skjei: Dishes OT helper Saturday

Skjei assisted on the game-winning goal in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win against the Islanders. Skjei has cooled off considerably since his red-hot start back in October when he recorded six points in his first five games (1G, 5A), but his latest helper gives him a respectable eight points in 12 games. He continues to skate mainly on the Canes' second defensive pairing, averaging a healthy 20:57 in ice time per game. This role gives him decent fantasy value in most standard formats.

  • Hurricanes' Brady Skjei: Closing in on career numbers

Skjei scored a goal on a pair of shots in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Canadiens. Skjei is currently on a late-season scoring run with seven points in his last 10 games (5G, 2A), giving him 34 points on the season. • Hurricanes' Brady Skjei: Two points against Jets

Skjei scored a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Winnipeg. Both points came in the second period as Carolina built a 3-1 lead they wouldn't relinquish. Skjei hadn't had a multi-point performance since Jan. 19, and the trade deadline addition of Shayne Gostisbehere has shut him out of regular power-play duty limiting his fantasy upside. On the season, Skjei has a career-high 13 goals and 29 points in 65 games, but he's unlikely to reach his career high of 39 points.

  • Hurricanes' Brady Skjei: Adds helper in rout

Skjei supplied an assist in Friday's 6-1 win over the Coyotes. Skjei continues to be a sneaky offensive producer, as he's banked a career-high 11 goals to complement 15 assists through 59 games, serving as a fine complement to his plus-14 rating. He's also starting to contribute more regularly on the power play, with six points on the man advantage. Prior to this season, you'd have to rewind to Skjei's 2017-18 campaign with the Rangers to see the last time he finished with any points on the man advantage.
