Dolphins' Malik Washington: Draws four targets in loss
Rotowire
Washington secured two of four targets for eight yards during Miami's 30-17 loss to the Packers on Thursday.
Washington drew the highest target total of his career during Thursday's loss, a game that featured the Dolphins' offense attempt to come back from an early deficit. The rookie sixth-round pick hasn't yet scored or racked up 20 yards in a single game this season, but his growing involvement on offense is somewhat encouraging. He remains an unlikely candidate for notable fantasy production heading into a Week 14 home game against the Jets, though.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Limited to one carry in Week 9 loss
Rotowire
Washington was not targeted during Miami's 30-27 loss to the Bills on Sunday. He rushed once for nine yards.
Washington played nearly double the amount of offensive snaps (35 percent) as Odell Beckham, but the veteran wideout managed to draw three more targets. A rookie sixth-round pick, Washington's only offensive touch Sunday came in the form of a nine-yard carry, and the only punt return he fielded went for minus-1 yard. Washington will look to make more of an impact on the road versus the Rams on Monday Night Football.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Logs first career catch
Rotowire
Washington secured his only target for eight yards during Miami's 31-12 loss to the Titans on Monday night.
Washington played 26 percent of the offensive snaps in his NFL debut. The rookie sixth-round pick missed the first three games of the season due to a quadriceps injury, but he played the same amount in Monday's loss to Tennessee as Braxton Berrios and Dee Eskridge, who was elevated from the practice squad. Washington will look to earn a bigger role against the Patriots on the road in Week 5.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Active versus Titans
Rotowire
Washington (quadriceps) is listed as active for Monday night's game against the Titans.
Washington thus is slated to make his regular-season debut after missing the Dolphins' first three games. In his return to action, the 2024 sixth-rounder will be in the mix (along with Braxton Berrios and Dee Eskridge) to log snaps behind top wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but until Washington gets a full and productive game in, the rookie out of Virginia will remain a speculative fantasy option.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Could return Week 4
Rotowire
Washington (quadriceps) is listed as questionable ahead of Monday night's matchup against the Titans, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
The 2024 sixth-round pick has yet to make his NFL debut after sustaining a quadriceps issue in early September, but following a week of limited practice sessions, he's got a chance to suit up Monday night. Miami currently has just three wide receivers on its active roster without an injury designation, so Washington could see a decent amount of work if he's able to play through injury in Week 4.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Won't play Sunday
Rotowire
Washington (quadriceps) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Washington, who was limited in all three of the Dolphins' practices this past week, approached the contest listed as doubtful. With Washington's NFL regular-season debut still on hold, Braxton Berrios is on hand to work as the team's No. 3 WR behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, with practice-squad elevations Dee Eskridge and Erik Ezukanma also available as depth options versus Seattle.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Listed as DNP again
Rotowire
Washington (quadriceps) is listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice report, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
The Dolphins only logged a walk-through practice Tuesday and released an estimated injury report Monday, but it's worrying to see Washington listed as a non-participant twice in a row. The rookie sixth-round pick missed Week 1 and looks like he could be in danger of also having to sit out Thursday's game against the Bills.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Racks up 120 all-purpose yards
Rotowire
Washington caught his only target for seven yards and rushed once for 40 yards, while adding a 45-yard kickoff return and a 28-yard punt return in Friday's 24-14 preseason loss to the Buccaneers.
Washington has proven capable of making plays in a variety of situations with the ball in his hands throughout the preseason. The rookie sixth-round pick probably won't see consistent playing time at wide receiver, but his versatility should help him secure a roster spot, and Miami's coaching staff may continue to scheme the ball into Washington's hands on gadget plays or in special-teams situations after the regular season kicks off Sept. 8 against the Jaguars.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Building momentum at camp
Rotowire
Washington has stood out in back-to-back joint practices with the Falcons, and he connected on a deep target from quarterback Skylar Thompson for a highlight-reel play Wednesday, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Washington is listed as a fifth-string wide receiver on Miami's first unofficial depth chart of the preseason, but he still has plenty of time remaining to make his case for a spot on the 53-man roster. The rookie sixth-round pick has impressed in recent practice while Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) and Braxton Berrios (undisclosed) have missed time, and he took advantage of Tyreek Hill logging limited work Wednesday. Head coach Mike McDaniel praised Washington's early development during Wednesday's presser, noting that the receiver is "operating as a pro in terms of how he's studying, his ownership of the playbook, and how reliable he is with assignments for his teammates." The rookie could further help his stock if he's able to flash in Friday's preseason opener against Atlanta.

Dolphins' Malik Washington: Miami scoops wideout in Round 6
Rotowire
The Dolphins selected Washington in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 184th overall.
Washington was expected to go a good two rounds earlier than this, so the former Virginia and Northwestern standout could prove to be a nice pick for the Dolphins this late. Washington doesn't look like your typical coach Mike McDaniel wideout at 5-foot-9, 191 pounds, and he lacks the lateral dynamism of wideouts like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but it seems like Washington should be able to assist the Dolphins offense if only in a small role. More specifically, at his height Washington is likely somewhat slot dependent, and unlike most slot wideouts he's more explosive vertically than laterally. With a 4.47-second 40-yard dash and standout hands, there should be enough here for McDaniel to figure something out, just perhaps never in a starting role for Washington.
