Steelers' Cameron Johnston: Taking part in OTAs
Johnston (knee) has been participating in Pittsburgh's OTAs, per WCCS radio.
Johnston signed a three-year contract with the Steelers in March of last year, but he hurt his right knee in Week 1 against Atlanta and ended up on IR for the remainder of the campaign. Now that he's back to health, Johnston is expected to retake his role as Pittsburgh's primary punter.

Steelers' Cameron Johnston: Placed on IR
Johnston (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Dale Lolley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Johnston's shift to IR was a formality after previous reports indicated that the punter suffered a season-ending injury in Sunday's 18-10 win over the Falcons. Per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin noted Tuesday that Johnston is slated to undergo surgery to address the knee injury. The Steelers are expected to sign Corliss Waitman to replace Johnston as the team's punter.

Steelers' Cameron Johnston: Out for season
Johnston suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's 18-10 win over the Falcons, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Johnston's injury will have the Steelers looking for a new punter ahead of their Week 2 matchup with the Broncos. His absence is also a blow to the Steelers' field-goal unit, as Johnston served as placekicker Chris Boswell's holder.

Steelers' Cameron Johnston: Leaves on cart
Johnston (leg) left the field on a cart and is likely out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Falcons, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
The punter injured his right leg after getting crushed on a punt attempt by KhaDarel Hodge of the Falcons, per Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Both Saunders and Batko indicated that the injury might have longer-term implications. The Steelers do not have another punter on the active roster, so kicker Chris Boswell has been punting in place of Johnston.

Texans' Cameron Johnston: Officially activated
Johnston (calf) was activated from injured reserve Saturday.
Johnston suffered a calf injury during the Texans' training camp, and it seems as if he's had enough time to move past the issue. The 31-year-old will reclaim his punting duties from Ty Zentner this coming Sunday.
