Jeff Duncan@JeffDuncan_30D agoThe selection of Bryan Bresee marks the 4th consecutive year and the 8th time in 9 NFL Drafts under Jeff Ireland that the Saints have taken an O- or D-lineman in the first round. The only year they didn’t was 2019, when they had no 1st-round pick and took Erik McCoy in Round 2.

Mike Triplett@MikeTriplett01/01/1970When asked about Bryan Bresee's injury history, Saints coach Dennis Allen quickly pointed to a positive, saying it "says a lot about the kid to overcome a lot of the adversity he's gone through over the last 18 months" including the death of his 15-year-old sister Ella last year.

Mike Triplett@MikeTriplett01/01/1970Three of the biggest remaining values: Will Levis, Nolan Smith, Joey Porter Jr. would feel like true "best player available" picks for Saints instead of need/fit. Meanwhile, two more natural fits (Bryan Bresee, Michael Mayer) remain among others.
