  • Raiders' Divine Deablo: Past oblique issue

Deablo (oblique) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Deablo missed Las Vegas' last three outings due to an oblique injury, but Wednesday's full practice indicates he's moved past the issue. Now that the fourth-year pro is healthy again, expect him to start alongside Tommy Eichenberg (hamstring) and Robert Spillane in the Raiders' linebacker corps.

  • Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Still dealing with ankle injury

Crosby (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday. The All-Pro edge rusher recorded three total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, while playing through his ankle issue in the Raiders' Week 5 loss to the Broncos, so holding him out of Wednesday's practice is most likely precautionary. Crosby's participation Thursday and Friday will provide a better indication of whether he can continue playing through this ankle injury in Week 6, when the Raiders host the Steelers.

  • Raiders' Christian Wilkins: Goes on IR as expected

Wilkins (foot) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Wilkins' move to IR shouldn't come as a surprise as he already underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a Jones Fracture in his foot. The Clemson product is expected to be facing an extended absence, although a firm timeline isn't yet available. His placement on injured reserve will guarantee he misses at least the Raiders' next four games though.

  • Raiders' Christian Wilkins: Out indefinitely with foot injury

Wilkins underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a Jones Fracture in his foot that he sustained in Sunday's loss to the Broncos, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Wilkins injured his foot in the first half of Sunday's game and remained in the locker room after halftime. It's a devastating blow for the Raiders, who signed Wilkins to a four-year, $110 million contract in March to reinforce their defensive line alongside All-Pro Maxx Crosby and veteran John Jenkins. Wilkins will eventually be placed on injured reserve, and while he hasn't been ruled out for the year, a return won't likely happen until much later in the regular season. Adam Butler has been the Raiders' top rotational defensive tackle this season, and he should slide into Wilkins' starting spot from here on out.

The 25-year-old and the rest of the Raiders defense will work to get back on track in Week 6 against the Steelers.

  • Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Expected to play Sunday

Crosby (ankle) is listed as questionable but is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Broncos, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports. Crosby has been known to play through injuries throughout his NFL career, but a high-ankle sprain forced him to sit out of the Raiders' Week 4 win over the Browns. The absence was the first of his NFL career, but the All-Pro defensive end looks poised to return to the field Sunday, despite carrying a designation into the weekend. He's registered 14 tackles (eight solo), three sacks and two pass breakups through three appearances in 2024.

  • Raiders' Luke Masterson: Lands on IR with knee injury

The Raiders placed Masterson (knee) on injured reserve Saturday. Masterson popped up on the Raiders' injury report Wednesday with a knee injury, and he was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. However, the knee injury appears to be severe enough to warrant a stint on injured reserve. The 26-year-old linebacker will be forced to sit for at least the next four games, meaning the earliest he can return is Week 9 against the Bengals on Nov. 3. Amari Gainer, Amari Burney and Tommy Eichenberg are candidates to slide into the starting linebacker spot vacated by Masterson.

It looked like he was in jeopardy of missing a second straight game after logging DNPs in the first two practices of the week. However, Crosby gave himself a shot at playing in Sunday's AFC West showdown after practicing in a limited capacity Friday. If Crosby cannot play Sunday, 2023 first-rounder Tyree Wilson would start at defensive end for a second straight game opposite Charles Snowden.
