Ravens' Michael Pierce: Remaining on IR
Pierce (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Pierce will miss a fifth straight game due to a calf injury he suffered in Week 8 against the Browns. He was designated to return from IR on Wednesday, and although he finished the week strong with a full practice Friday, he hasn't progressed in his recovery enough to return for Sunday's contest. With the Ravens on a bye for Week 14, Pierce's next opportunity to play will be Week 15 against the Giants on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Pierce (calf) was designated to return from injured reserve by Baltimore on Wednesday.

Ravens' Michael Pierce: Shifts to IR
The Ravens placed Pierce (calf) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Pierce failed to record a stat across 13 defensive snaps before sustaining a calf injury in the Ravens' Week 8 loss to the Browns. The issue now appears serious enough to land Pierce on IR, forcing him to miss Baltimore's next four games. His earliest possible return would be in Week 13 against the Eagles. Expect Broderick Washington to see additional reps with the Ravens' first-team defense while Pierce is sidelined over the coming weeks.

Ravens' Michael Pierce: Good to go for Week 5
Pierce (shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Pierce was inactive for the Ravens' Week 4 win against the Bills due to a shoulder injury. The extended rest appears to have done the 31-year-old nose tackle some good, and he should be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Pierce has tallied seven tackles (three solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one pass defended across three regular-season games.

Ravens' Michael Pierce: Won't play vs. Buffalo
Pierce (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Pierce was a full participant in practice Thursday and Friday, but he suffered a setback and was downgraded to doubtful Saturday. Sunday will be the first regular-season game Pierce will miss since 2022. Pierce's next shot at playing will be Week 5 against the Bengals on Oct. 6. Pierce is the only nose tackle on the Ravens' active roster, so backup defensive ends Broderick Washington and Brent Urban are candidates to see more snaps on the defensive line alongside starters Nnamdi Madubuike and Travis Jones.

Pierce (shoulder) has been downgraded to doubtful ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills.
Pierce appeared to be past his shoulder injury after practicing in full Thursday and Friday, but he's now in jeopardy of missing Sunday night's contest. Ravens' Michael Pierce: Inks extension
Pierce and the Ravens agreed to a two-year, $7.5 million extension Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
The 31-year-old has spent six of his seven years in the NFL with the Ravens, and he'll remain in Baltimore through the 2025 season after inking an extension Saturday. Pierce has been having one of the best seasons of his career thus far, appearing in all 16 of the Ravens' games and recording 36 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, while also deflecting two passes. Expect the 355-pound nose tackle to continue being a major part of Baltimore's run defense for years to come.

Ravens' Michael Pierce: Avoids injury report Tuesday
Pierce (neck) was not listed on Baltimore's injury report Tuesday.
Pierce's absence from the injury report Tuesday suggests he'll be available for Saturday's game versus the Steelers. However, with the AFC's top seed already locked up, the Ravens could choose to rest their starters in Week 18.

Ravens' Michael Pierce: Questionable to return
Pierce (neck) is considered questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a stinger.
Pierce's stinger is described as in his neck and shoulder area. Given the nature of the game, it would seem unnecessary for him to return if his health is not up to par. While he is sidelined, Travis Jones is the likely candidate to replace him at nose tackle.
