Redskins place SS Duke Ihenacho on IR, sign CB Will Blackmon

A wrist injury that will require surgery has landed Redskins strong safety Duke Ihenacho on season-ending injured reserve and motivated the team to sign cornerback Will Blackmon, per CSN Mid-Atlantic.

The fracture and dislocation was sustained by Ihenacho in the Week 1 loss to Miami.

Blackmon was cut by Seattle on Sept. 5, but has eight years of NFL experience. He played eight games for Jacksonville in 2014.
