Raiders quarterback Matt Schaub didn't travel with the team to London and he won't be meeting the team there later this week, coach Dennis Allen told CSNBayArea.com.

The Raiders backup quarterback for Sunday's game against the Dolphins will be Matt McGloin. McGloin also served as the team's backup behind Derek Carr in Oakland's 16-9 loss to the Patriots in Week 3.

Schaub originally traveled with the team to New England on Sept. 19, but he had to fly home the next day due to a familial emergency. According to ESPN.com, Schaub's wife underwent an emergency C-section to deliver their baby. Although the baby was born several months premature, both the mom and baby are believed to be doing well, according to the report.

The plan was for Schaub to return for the Dolphins game, but with the game in London, Schaub and the team may have thought it made more sense for him to stay home. After playing Miami in London, the Raiders have a bye and don't play again until Oct. 12.
