Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart, who missed the Panthers' loss at Tampa Bay in Week 1, is on track to play against New Orleans on Sunday.

Stewart suffered an ankle injury in the preseason. Carolina listed him on the team’s injury report, but he had full participation in practice Wednesday and Thursday.

C Jeff Byers, who missed the Tampa Bay game with a knee injury, also had full participation both days.

WR Steve Smith was bothered by a right knee injury and had limited participation in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He was hit on the knee in Sunday's game and wore a brace during practice.

Two players were added to the Panthers’ injury report Thursday after not being listed Wednesday:  G Mike Pollak, who was limited Thursday with a new shoulder injury, and DE Greg Hardy, who did not practice Thursday due to illness.

LB Kenny Onatolu did not practice either day. He left the team after a death in the family but is expected to play Sunday.
