After a dismal 2011 that featured just 15 receptions in nine games (five starts) before being released in December Braylon Edwards is currently unemployed. But the one-time Pro Bowler will have a chance to change that, as a league source tells CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora that the wideout is currently working out with the Seattle Seahawks.

At 29, Edwards still has a little upside remaining and looked good at times in his stint with the Jets during 2010. And the Seahawks would like to add a receiver to their current hodgepodge of wideouts, particularly after they made the decision to release receiver Mike Williams, who came back to earth after a strong 2010.

Sidney Rice hasn't shown he can stay healthy, Golden Tate is still unproven and while Doug Baldwin and Ben Obomanu were productive last year, the wide receiving corps isn't exactly a strength.

Edwards wouldn't suddenly turn things around for Seattle, but it wasn't that long ago that he put up decent numbers.
