Langford (adductor) played 19 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 137-93 loss to the Celtics, recording eight points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and two steals. The Spurs initially listed Langford as out ahead of Sunday's contest, but he ended up seeing meaningful run off the bench despite his designation. Langford had missed the prior two games for injury management purposes, and though he's likely well removed from the adductor issue that sidelined him for more than a month earlier in 2023, he'll still be a candidate to sit out games for maintenance over the final two weeks of the campaign.... Spurs' Romeo Langford: Scores 17 points in spot start
Langford closed Wednesday's 137-128 overtime loss to Dallas with 17 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds and one block over 21 minutes. Langford got the start with Jeremy Sochan (rest) and Devin Vassell (knee) out, and he made the most of his minutes while also scoring in double digits for the first time since late January. With that said, Langford should move back to the bench when the Spurs take on the Grizzlies on Friday, and while he may not notice a dramatic reduction in playing time, he'll likely struggle to match the 24.8 percent usage rate he sported Wednesday.... Jeff McDonald@JMcDonald_SAEN13D agoWith little else to watch in this game, I'm kind of fixated on Romeo Langford running around on D. I think he can be a contributor to some team at that end of the floor, if he can ever stay healthy for more than a game or two.
