  • Jazz's John Collins: Leads starters in scoring

Collins chipped in 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 131-99 loss to the Lakers. Collins has scored exactly 15 points in each of his last three outings but failed to secure his fourth straight double-double. Collins is averaging 15.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 0.8 steals in 34.6 minutes across his last five appearances.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Delivers double-double

Collins finished Tuesday's 115-99 victory over the Trail Blazers with 14 points (6-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal in 32 minutes. Collins has been a consistent threat for the Jazz after putting up double-digit scoring numbers in each of his appearances so far, though it must be noted that he has surpassed the 15-point tally just three times across his 11 contests. Collins is finding the consistency he didn't have during his Atlanta days, though an uptick in his scoring would certainly boost a fantasy profile that is also averaging a solid 8.2 rebounds per contest.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Good to go

Collins (ankle) is good to go for Tuesday's game against Portland, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports. Collins was previously carrying a probable tag. He's coming off one of his best performances of the season Friday, as he scored 18 points with three rebounds, three triples and four blocks against the Grizzlies.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Probable for Tuesday

Collins (ankle) is listed as probable to play Tuesday versus Portland. Collins is dealing with a left ankle sprain, but he appears on track to play. With Walker Kessler amid a multi-week absence due to an elbow sprain, Collins is slated for a hefty workload in Utah's frontcourt as long as he's available.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Four blocks in win

Collins closed Friday's 127-121 victory over Memphis with 18 points (5-6 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three rebounds and four blocks over 38 minutes. Collins had just three blocks across nine games before tallying four Friday. His three triples were also a season-high mark. The big man has been struggling in the rebounding department recently but has found other ways to contribute. He is now averaging 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 triples across 31.1 minutes in 10 games this season.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Records double-double in loss

Collins finished Thursday's 115-113 loss to the Magic with 20 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds and one block over 33 minutes. Collins is enjoying an excellent start to the season, and outside of recording his fourth double-double through six games, he also posted a season-high mark in points. Collins is showing the upside he couldn't live up to as a member of the Hawks, and his fantasy upside has risen considerably compared to 12 months ago. He looks like a pivotal pice of the Jazz's offensive scheme in the frontcourt alongside Lauri Markkanen.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Another double-double Friday

Collins recorded 13 points (4-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds and one block over 34 minutes during Friday's 120-118 win over the Clippers. Collins has looked pretty comfortable to begin his tenure with the Jazz, delivering a double-double in two straight games to open the campaign. The 26-year-old has averaged a double-double over a full season only once (in 2019-20), seeing his rebounding numbers plummet after Atlanta added Clint Capela to its frontcourt, but so far Collins hasn't had the same issues while working alongside Walker Kessler and Lauri Markkanen.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Double-double in Jazz debut

Collins registered 15 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and a steal over 31 minutes in Wednesday's 130-114 loss to the Kings. After being involved in trade rumors for years, Collins was acquired by the Jazz in June to pair next to All-Star forward Lauri Markkanen. He had a strong showing in his Utah debut when he led the team and rebounds and scored the third-most points behind Jordan Clarkson (24 points) and Markkanen (19). He'll look to help the Jazz get their first win of the year Friday when they face the Clippers at home.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Officially starting

Collins is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Kings, Sarah Todd of Deseret News reports. As expected, Collins will slot into Utah's starting lineup at power forward between Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler. While it's unclear how he'll fit into the offensive pecking order, it's likely Collins will receive more opportunities than he did back in Atlanta.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Off injury report

Collins is not on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Kings, Ben Anderson of KSL Sports reports. Collins was rested for the preseason finale back on Oct. 19, but there are no injuries to report. Collins had a very underwhelming preseason, averaging 7.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 20.5 minutes through three contests.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Sitting out preseason finale

Collins won't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Kings due to rest purposes, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Collins will sit out Thursday alongside many of Utah's regulars. However, he should be good to go for the team's regular-season opener against the Kings on Oct. 25.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Efficient from field

Collins notched 15 points (5-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and an assist across 24 minutes in Saturday's 138-133 preseason win over the Trail Blazers. Collins was efficient in this win, missing just two shots from the field en route to a solid outing. Collins is set to open the season as Utah's starting power forward and could also see time at center in small-ball lineups. Either way, he should have more touches -- thus translating to better overall numbers -- than during his final year with Atlanta.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Headed to Utah

Collins was traded from the Hawks to the Jazz on Monday in exchange for Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Collins' name has been in the rumor mill for years, so it's no surprise to see him finally dealt. The return for Collins is underwhelming, so this is mostly a salary dump for the Hawks with Collins owed $78 million over the next three years. The Hawks now have some flexibility to make additional moves, while Collins gets a fresh start in Utah and could have a featured role alongside Lauri Markkanen at small forward and Walker Kessler at center. Collins could see a sizable bump in fantasy value with this move.

  • Hawks' John Collins: Modest end to season

Collins produced 16 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two blocks and one steal across 29 minutes during Thursday's 128-120 loss to Boston in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Collins wasn't terrible in the Game 6 loss but certainly didn't set the world on fire either. Thursday's defeat brings to an end what can only be described as an underwhelming campaign for both Collins and the Hawks. Despite having proven himself in the past, Collins looked like a shell of his former self for a solid portion of the season. Heading into 2023-24, he is going to have to make some significant changes should he hope to be a key piece on a team with playoff aspirations.

  • Hawks' John Collins: Finally gets going in win

Collins recorded 22 points (9-18 FG, 4-9 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 119-117 win over the Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Better late than never is what they say, and this was certainly the case Tuesday. After a poor showing thus far in the playoffs, Collins finally rediscovered some form right when the Hawks needed it the most. Based on his inconsistent production this season, stringing two strong games together could prove difficult for Collins. Hawks fans will be hoping he can build off this effort Thursday in Atlanta, as they attempt to extend the series to Game 7.

  • Hawks' John Collins: Rough trot continues

Collins notched eight points (3-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 21 minutes during Friday's 130-122 victory over the Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Collins managed just 21 minutes in the victory, unable to produce anything of note once again. In a season full of disappointment, it appears as though Collins has simply lost his mojo at this point. Although he continues to start, his production is nowhere near what we have seen him do in the past. Looking beyond this season, perhaps a change of scenery is the only thing that can change his fortunes.

  • Hawks' John Collins: Will play Tuesday

Collins (back) isn't listed on the Hawks' injury report for Tuesday's Play-In matchup against Miami. Collins sat out the regular-season finale due to low back tightness, but as expected, he'll be available for Atlanta's first playoff action. Across 71 regular-season appearances, the sixth-year forward averaged 13.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 blocks in 30.0 minutes per game.

  • Hawks' John Collins: Not playing Sunday

Collins is out for Sunday's game against the Celtics due to low back tightness. Collins' back injury is just a sign of the general wear and tear of the regular season, and his availability for the Play-In matchup against the Heat shouldn't be questioned. Collins ends the 2022-23 season averaging 13.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 71 contests.

  • Hawks' John Collins: Cleans up at free-throw line

Collins tallied 23 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT) and three rebounds across 26 minutes in Wednesday's 134-116 win over the Wizards. After going 8-for-16 from the free-throw line over a five-game stretch from March 25 through April 2, Collins has bounced back nicely in that area over his subsequent two appearances. He's gone a perfect 11-for-11 from the charity stripe between Wednesday's game and Tuesday's win over the Bulls, bringing his rate back up above 80 percent for the season. Collins was able to deliver some three-point production to go along with the efficiency from the charity stripe, but his stat line was otherwise hollow. That's a regular occurrence of late, as he's averaging just 4.9 boards, 1.1 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.4 steals in 21 appearances since the All-Star break.

  • Hawks' John Collins: Held to five points

Collins racked up five points (2-10 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes during Friday's 124-107 loss to the Nets. Collins was starting to roll in mid-March, but now he's back on the wrong trajectory. Over the past three games, he's averaging just 8.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 three-pointers without any steals or blocks. He's also shooting just 33 percent in that span.
