Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Records double-double in loss
Sengun recorded 21 points (8-25 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals in 34 minutes during Saturday's 107-97 loss to the Lakers.
Sengun logged his fifth double-double of the season, which is impressive considering Anthony Davis' massive total. The 2021 first-round pick is Houston's most consistent producer and is one of the most underrated big men in the league, but he needs more from his supporting cast to keep Houston competitive.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Stuffs stat sheet in loss
Sengun had 22 points (10-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 134-124 loss to the Nuggets.
Sengun had the daunting task of dealing with Nikola Jokic, and while the Serbian star finished with a triple-double as Denver secured the victory, Sengun made his presence felt as well with contributions on both ends of the court. The young center is one of the most versatile big men in the league, and the numbers back that up, as Sengun is averaging 23.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game over his last six outings.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Looks great despite loss
Sengun totaled 31 points (10-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 11-14 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and one block over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 121-115 loss to the Mavericks.
There's no longer any doubt that Sengun is the focal point of Houston's offense. Over his last eight games, Sengun averaged 23.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.3 blocks. He does have some flaws in category leagues due to high turnovers and a below-average free-throw percentage, but it's hard to complain about his recent production.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Delivers big double-double in loss
Sengun supplied 30 points (13-23 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-5 FT), 13 rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 121-116 loss to the Warriors.
Sengun's availability was in question leading up to the opening tip while he dealt with a back issue, but he not only managed to suit up, but he also turned in what might have been his most complete all-around fantasy line of the season. Perhaps more importantly, the Rockets seem to be leaning more heavily on Sengun than they had been earlier in this season, which has raised his value up another notch. Sengun has cleared 30 minutes in each of the last five games, averaging 24.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 three-pointers over that stretch.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Cleared to play
Sengun (back) will play Monday against the Warriors, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Sengun was a true game-time call leading up to Monday's tipoff, but he's been given the green light after successfully making it through pregame warmups. He's coming off his second double-double of the season in which he dropped 23 points and added 10 boards, five assists and one block in 31 minutes Sunday against the Lakers.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Status uncertain for Monday
Sengun (back) remains listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Warriors and is shaping up as a game-time decision ahead of the 10 p.m. ET opening tip, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Sengun is at risk of missing his first game of the season due to a lower back contusion. He took part in a pregame workout, and the Rockets will presumably provide an update on his status shortly before opening tip. If Sengun is sidelined Monday, Jabari Smith could end up getting some more run at center, and frontcourt reserves Jock Landale and Jeff Green could also be in store for more minutes than usual.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Dealing with lower back contusion
Sengun is questionable for Monday's matchup against Golden State due to a lower back contusion.
Sengun posted 23 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and a block during Sunday's loss to the Lakers, but he's in danger of missing the second half of a back-to-back set. This is the Rockets' first back-to-back of the season, so it's possible they are simply exercising caution with their talented big man. If Sengun is ruled out, Jock Landale and Jeff Green would be candidates to join the starting lineup.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Provides double-double
Sengun provided 23 points (11-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt), 10 rebounds, five assists and one block across 31 minutes during Sunday's 105-104 loss to the Lakers.
Sengun had a tough task dealing with Anthony Davis, but he still posted a solid fantasy stat line and recorded his second double-double of the year. Even though the double-doubles are not as consistent as last season, it's worth noting that he has scored in double figures while grabbing at least seven rebounds in all but one contest in 2023-24. Sengun is averaging 20.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in November.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Leading scorer in defeat
Sengun closed with 23 points (8-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Friday's 106-100 loss to the Clippers.
Sengun moved past an ankle injury late last week and hasn't appeared to have any limitations over three appearances since then. He's been a consistent presence for the Rockets during that time, averaging 23.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 34.3 minutes per game. The 21-year-old should continue to handle a significant role now that he's healthy.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Good to go Friday
Sengun (ankle) is good to go for Friday's game against the Pelicans.
Sengun warmed up a little earlier than he usually does to properly test his ankle, so we can assume that the injury responded well. He's coming off an impressive showing against the Lakers on Wednesday in which he had 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Questionable for Friday
Sengun is questionable for Friday's game against the Pelicans due to a left ankle sprain.
Sengun rolled his ankle during Wednesday's 128-94 win over the Lakers, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes. If Sengun is unable to suit up against the Pelicans, the Rockets could lean more heavily on Jock Landale at center. The Rockets could also utilize some smaller lineups featuring more Jeff Green and Tari Eason in the frontcourt.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Posts 19/7/4 line in 25 minutes
Sengun ended Wednesday's 128-94 win over the Lakers with 19 points (8-10 FG, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes.
Like every starter on both teams, Sengun was on the floor for less than 30 minutes due to the blowout nature of Houston's victory. Despite that, the big man managed to put up a healthy stat line on the strength of an efficient 8-for-10 mark from the field. Sengun has been a consistent scoring presence for the surging Rockets this season, posting at least 14 points in each of their seven games. He's continuing to climb the ranks of fantasy's top big men with per-game averages of 18.3 points, 8.3 boards, 6.6 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 30.6 minutes.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Outplays Sabonis once again
Sengun contributed 17 points (7-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, 12 assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Monday's 122-97 win over the Kings.
Sengun has taken a step forward this season and is beginning to look very good against some of the best big men in the league, evidenced by the fact he outplayed Domantas Sabonis for a second straight game Monday. Sengun's calling card has always been his ability to fill the stat sheet and contribute in several categories, as evidenced by the fact he ended just two boards away from a triple-double in this one.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Fills stat sheet once again
Sengun closed with 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt), nine rebounds, six assists and two steals over 34 minutes during Saturday's 107-89 win over Sacramento.
Sengun engaged in quite a battle with one of the best big men in the league, Domantas Sabonis, and while he couldn't prevent the Kings star from finishing with a double-double, Sengun posted excellent numbers in his own right again. The big man has now scored at least 15 points in four straight contests, and even though he only has one double-double to show, Sengun has racked up at least seven boards four times while also tallying six dimes on four occasions.

Sengun led Houston in rebounding and efficiency from the field. The Rockets orchestrated a well-balanced attack, with all starters scoring at least 17 points. The 21-year-old has scored 19-plus points in three straight games and will have the opportunity to continue that streak Saturday against Sacramento.
