Raptors' Otto Porter: Rejoins reserves
Porter won't start Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Porter drew the start Monday with O.G. Raptors' Otto Porter: Set to return Sunday

Raptors' Otto Porter: Won't play Thursday
Porter has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the 76ers due to return-to-competition conditioning, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Porter played 16 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Bucks and tallied six points, three rebounds, an assist and a block. He dealt with a toe injury during the preseason, and the Raptors will be cautious with him in the second half of a back-to-back set Thursday. It wouldn't be surprising to see him return to action Sunday against the Spurs, but his absence shouldn't significantly impact the Raptors' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Otto Porter: Good to go Friday
Porter (toe) is available for Friday's preseason game against the Wizards, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Porter will make his preseason debut Friday after dealing with a toe injury. The veteran forward is expected to compete for a depth role in Toronto this season.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Otto Porter: Out again Tuesday
Porter (toe) will not play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Bulls, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet reports. Porter is getting closer to a return after going through a full practice Saturday, so it's possible he'll be available for Friday's preseason finale against the Wizards.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Otto Porter: Won't play Sunday
Porter (toe) is out for Sunday's preseason scrimmage against the Cairns Taipans of the Australian NBL, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Raptors' Otto Porter: Hoping to play in preseason
Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic said Porter (toe) participated in the 3-on-3 portion of Wednesday's practice and is hopeful he'll play in the preseason, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. Porter missed Toronto's preseason opener with a toe injury but appears to be progressing well in his recovery. Porter will have two more opportunities to suit up this preseason, with the first coming against the Bulls on Oct. 17.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Otto Porter: Sitting out Sunday
Porter (toe) won't play in Sunday's preseason matchup against the Kings, Eric Koreen of the Athletic reports. Porter is being held out of the team's first preseason game, and although the reasoning has not been specified, it is likely just for rest or recovery as he works his way back from a dislocated toe. Porter will likely not see much run in the preseason but should be good to go for the Raptors' regular-season opener against Minnesota on Oct. 25.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Otto Porter: Full participant at practice
Porter (toe) was a full participant in the Raptors' first training camp practice Tuesday, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Porter appeared in just eight games for Toronto last season, battling a hamstring injury at the onset of the season followed by a dislocated toe in November which ultimately cost him the remainder of the campaign. The 30-year-old could be a valuable floor spacer for the Raptors, but his lack of durability and self-creation limits his fantasy value.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Otto Porter: Exercises player option for 2023-24
Porter (foot) exercised his $6.3 million player option for the 2023-24 campaign Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Porter signed a one-year deal with a player option in July of 2022, but he played in just eight games for Toronto before undergoing season-ending surgery in January. He's expected to be healthy by the start of next season and could carve out a sizable bench role for the Raptors, who are expected to keep their core intact despite another disappointing finish.... Raptors' Otto Porter: Out for season
The Raptors announced Tuesday that Porter underwent season-ending surgery on his left foot, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports. Porter has been sidelined since Nov. 14 with a dislocated second toe on his foot, and with the veteran forward having failed to respond to rest and rehab has hoped, he went under the knife to address the injury. The 29-year-old is without a precise timeline to resume full basketball activities, but his recovery will at least stretch into the summer since the Raptors are ruling him out for the season. Porter holds a $6.3 million player option for the 2023-24 campaign, which he'll most likely exercise, given his current circumstances.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Otto Porter: Remains out indefinitely
Raptors head coach Nick Nurse said Tuesday that Porter isn't making any progress from a dislocated second toe on his right foot, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports. On Dec. 13, Grange reported that Porter was likely to miss another month, but Nurse's comments three weeks later suggest that the veteran forward's timeline has been pushed back even further. Until Porter is cleared to resume any on-court work, his return to game action shouldn't be viewed as imminent.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Otto Porter: Out for at least another month
Porter, who hasn't appeared in a game since Nov. 14 due to a toe injury, is out for at least another month, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports. Porter recently visited with a specialist and will be re-evaluated in about a month. The veteran forward has appeared in only eight games this season, so his prolonged absence shouldn't have a major impact on Toronto's rotation, though Juancho Hernangomez (ankle) figures to garner a solid reserve role as long as Porter remains sidelined.... Raptors' Otto Porter: Visiting specialist next week
Porter (toe) has a visit scheduled with a specialist next week with the hope it will shed a positive light in regards to his return, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports. Porter hasn't appeared in a game since Nov. 14 and doesn't have an exact date for his return to action at this juncture either. The visit with the specialist could provide some answers regarding Porter's timeline, but the fact that he won't have the visit until some point next week suggests he has some recovery time remaining.... Raptors' Otto Porter: Remains sidelined Friday
Porter (toe) won't play in Friday's game against the Magic. Porter will miss his 11th straight game due to a dislocated toe on his left foot. The veteran forward's next chance to suit up is Sunday's game versus the Magic, but there is no timetable for his return.... See More ... See Less -
