  • Orioles' Jacob Webb: Impresses with Baltimore

Webb pitched to a 3.27 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 23:10 K:BB over 22 innings after he was claimed off waivers by the Orioles. Webb also had six holds after joining Baltimore. The 30-year-old right-hander pitched fine with the Angels to begin the year with a 3.98 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 34:20 K:BB across 31.2 innings, but he was able to improve his efficiency while becoming a trusted part of the Orioles' bullpen. They'll look for that to continue in the postseason.

  • Orioles' Jacob Webb: Lands in Baltimore

The Orioles claimed Webb off waivers from the Angels on Monday. Webb, who turns 30 later this month, had a 3.98 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and a 34:20 K:BB in 31.2 innings for the Angels this season before getting designated for assignment over the weekend. He's out of minor-league options, so he will assume a low-leverage role once he is able to join the Orioles in Baltimore for this week's series against the Astros.

  • Angels' Jacob Webb: Removed from 40-man roster

The Angels designated Webb for assignment Saturday. Webb made it through Friday's appearance without allowing a run, but he walked three batters, and that was apparently the last straw for Los Angeles. The 29-year-old righty has handed out 20 free passes and served up six homers in 31.2 innings in the majors this season. Kenny Rosenberg was added in a corresponding move.

  • Angels' Jacob Webb: Earns first save

Webb picked up the save Thursday against the Rangers. He allowed one walk while striking out one over a scoreless inning. The 29-year-old stepped into a high-leverage situation after Carlos Estevez walked the first three batters of the ninth to load the bases with no outs. However, Webb managed to escape the jam allowing just one inherited runner to score and pick up his first save of 2023 and the fourth of his career. In 11 appearances (13.1 innings) this season, Webb sports a 2.03 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP to pair with a 14:5 K:BB, as he's emerged as one of the Angels' top bullpen arms.

  • Angels' Jacob Webb: Receives call-up

The Angels selected the contract of Webb from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday. Webb signed a minor-league contract with the Angels in November, and while he didn't make the Opening Day roster, the right-hander will now have a chance to work out of the big-league bullpen. He'll likely be ticketed for a middle-innings role in the early going.

  • Angels' Jacob Webb: Sent out to minor-league camp

Webb was reassigned Friday to the minor-league side of Angels camp. Webb impressed with 10 strikeouts over eight scoreless innings this spring in the Cactus League, but he'll open the 2023 season in the bullpen at Triple-A Salt Lake. He could be a contributor for the Halos at some point this year.

  • Angels' Jacob Webb: Joins Angels

Webb signed a minor-league deal with the Angels on Thursday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports. Webb spent the entire 2022 season in Triple-A, splitting time with the Atlanta and Arizona organizations. He had effective seasons in the majors in both 2019 and 2020, so it's possible he contributes with the Angels in 2023.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: Ourtrighted to Triple-A

Webb cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday. Webb was designated for assignment Thursday but will remain in the organization after going unclaimed on waivers. • Braves' Jacob Webb: Designated for assignment

Webb was designated for assignment by Atlanta on Thursday. Webb was acquired from Arizona in exchange for cash considerations when Collin McHugh hit the COVID-19 injured list in early June. With McHugh now healthy again, he'll exit the active and 40-man rosters. Despite spending nine days with the team, Webb didn't appear in a single game.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: Shipped back to Atlanta

Atlanta acquired Webb from Arizona on Tuesday in exchange for cash considerations. Atlanta placed reliever Collin McHugh on the COVID-19-related injured list to open up room on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Webb, who is back with the organization after he was previously waived and claimed by the Diamondbacks in April. Webb has pitched exclusively at the Triple-A level this season, but he supplied a 4.19 ERA and 1.51 WHIP in 34.1 innings with Atlanta in 2021.

  • Diamondbacks' Jacob Webb: Designated for assignment

Webb was designated for assignment Sunday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports. Webb gave up six earned runs in 5.1 innings at Triple-A this year. The move frees up a 40-man roster spot for Cole Tucker, who was claimed off waivers.

  • Diamondbacks' Jacob Webb: Scooped up by Snakes

Arizona claimed Webb off waivers from Atlanta on Tuesday and optioned him to Triple-A Reno, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports. The Diamondbacks cleared room for the right-handed reliever on the 40-man roster by designating outfielder Stuart Fairchild for assignment. Though Webb will begin his tenure in the Arizona organization at Triple-A, a promotion to the Diamondbacks could come in short order, given the lack of established middle-relief options in the big-league bullpen. Webb owns a 2.47 ERA and .240 batting average against over 78 career MLB relief appearances.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: DFA'd by Atlanta

Webb was designated for assignment by Atlanta on Tuesday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports. Webb failed to make the Opening Day roster and has now lost his spot on Atlanta's 40-man roster. The 28-year-old had a 1.39 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB over 32.1 innings during 2019, but he had a 4.19 ERA and 1.51 WHIP last year. Atlanta selected the contract of Jackson Stephens in a corresponding move.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: Dropped from roster

Webb was left off Atlanta's World Series roster, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports. Webb has appeared in two playoff games this season, giving up four runs in 1.2 innings of work. Kyle Wright, who can give the team a bit more length, was included in Webb's place.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: One-out save

Webb recorded a one-out save Saturday against the Mets, allowing two walks and tossing a wild pitch. Webb clinched his first save of the season Saturday as he recorded the final out of the game, but it wasn't a relaxed outing by any means -- he walked Michael Conforto and Pete Alonso to load the bases before retiring Jonathan Villar on a groundout. Webb has now tossed two straight scoreless outings, and if he doesn't pitch Sunday, he'll end the season with a 4.19 ERA over 34.1 innings.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: Earns win in relief

Webb (5-3) earned the win in relief Monday against the Diamondbacks after tossing a scoreless inning, striking out two. Webb pitched the fifth inning and was extremely effective, needing just 13 pitches (eight strikes) to get the job done. He extended his streak of appearances without allowing an earned run to 14 (15 innings) and continues to be a reliable arm out of the bullpen for Atlanta.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: Picks up loss in extras

Webb (4-3) was tagged with the loss Friday against San Francisco after allowing an unearned run while walking two across two-thirds of an inning. Webb was tasked with pitching the 11th inning and ended just one out away from closing things out, but a sac fly from Kevin Gausman that scored Brandon Crawford changed the outcome of the contest. This was the first time Webb allowed a run since May 21, though, and for the most part, he's been a reliable arm for the Braves out of the bullpen.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: Earns win in relief

Webb (2-2) earned the win Thursday against the Rockies after tossing two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out two without walking a batter. The right-hander made his first appearance since being recalled earlier this week and was in complete control, tossing 18 of his 26 pitches for strikes and cruising through the middle frames after Touki Toussaint's short three-inning outing. Webb has been up and down between Triple-A and the big-league roster over the last few months, but he has not allowed an earned run in any of his last six appearances at the highest level dating back to May 21.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: Sent to minors

Atlanta optioned Webb to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday. Webb's demotion clears a spot on the active roster for starting pitcher Huascar Ynoa (hand), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled outing Tuesday in Miami. During his four-day stint with the big club, Webb made two appearances out of the Atlanta bullpen, tossing a scoreless frame in both outings.

  • Braves' Jacob Webb: Back in big leagues

Webb was recalled by Atlanta on Friday. Webb has been passable enough in his 19 major-league innings this season, though his 4.74 ERA and 20.0 percent strikeout rate certainly won't lead to many high-leverage opportunities. He owns a far better 2.21 ERA in 20.1 frames for Triple-A Gwinnett, backed by a strong 34.1 percent strikeout rate. Kyle Muller was optioned in a corresponding move.
