Kelenic went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Angels.
Kelenic opened the scoring with his first-inning blast, snapping a 13-game homer drought. He's faded a little bit to start June, going 4-for-20 (.200) over his first six games this month. The outfielder is still enjoying solid production from the heart of the order with a .270/.333/.502 slash line, 11 homers, 29 RBI, 28 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 59 contests.

Kelenic has been hitting third or fourth for the majority of the season after his breakout April, but the 23-year-old has just one hit over his last 17 at-bats since May 31 and he's struck out 11 times over those five contests. Cal Raleigh moves up to the cleanup spot for Wednesday's contest with Teoscar Hernandez hitting fifth.

It was Kelenic's second straight game with a double after a brief 1-for-15 skid in the prior four contests. Although he's encouragingly upped his exit velocity (86.0 percent to 91.2 percent) and hard-contact rates (31.1 percent to 34.4 percent) over last season, Kelenic is still carrying a bloated 30.7 percent strikeout rate and 30.8 percent chase rate.

Kelenic pummeled his 10th homer of the year off Kyle Muller in the first inning, and he added an RBI single in the fifth. During a five-game hitting streak, Kelenic has gone 8-for-20 (.400) with two homers, four RBI and six runs scored. The outfielder is slashing .297/.350/.564 with 25 RBI, 25 runs scored, six stolen bases, 12 doubles and a triple through 45 contests in what looks to be a breakout season.

Kelenic went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Atlanta on Sunday.
Kelenic struck out in three of four plate appearances, but his second-inning 394-foot shot to right center accounted for the only hit off Atlanta rookie starter Jared Shuster. The homer was Kelenic's first time leaving the yard since May 13 and added to what is now a 10-game stretch of mostly solid work at the plate -- the talented outfielder sports a .282 and .830 OPS in 41 plate appearances over that stretch.

Kelenic scored each of the three times he reached base, and he stole his sixth bag of the season in the sixth inning. He has knocked in at least one run in four of his past five contests, with the exception coming Sunday when he was limited to pinch-hitting duties. Kelenic is finally living up to his vast potential this season, posting a .291/.340/.553 slash line with eight homers, 19 runs and 21 RBI over 153 plate appearances.
