Wade re-signed with the Mariners on a minor-league deal Tuesday and debuted for Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, tossing four innings and striking out five while allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and three walks in a 7-4 win over El Paso. Wade is back with the Seattle organization for a second straight season after he was unable to find work elsewhere upon electing free agency in November. The 31-year-old previously made seven relief appearances in the majors for Baltimore in 2021, but he'll face an uphill battle to resurface in the big leagues with Seattle.... See More ... See Less

Mariners' Konner Wade: Signs minor-league contract
Wade signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners on Saturday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports. Wade made his major-league debut with Baltimore last year and posted an 11.68 ERA and 2.27 WHIP in 12.1 innings over seven relief appearances. He'll presumably report to Triple-A Tacoma and will be an option to provide bullpen depth for the Mariners at some point.... See More ... See Less -
Konner Wade: Becomes free agent
Wade elected free agency Monday, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports. Wade will elect to part ways with the Orioles' organization after he was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday. The right-hander posted an 11.68 ERA and 2.27 WHIP in 12.1 major-league innings in 2021.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Konner Wade: Loses spot on 40-man roster
Wade was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. Wade got his first taste of major-league action in 2021 and recorded an 11.68 ERA and 2.27 WHIP in 12.1 innings. However, he'll now be cast off the 40-man roster.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Konner Wade: Sent to Triple-A
Wade was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk after Tuesday's 14-8 loss to the Angels. He surrendered five runs on six hits and two walks with zero strikeouts over 1.1 innings. The right-hander was called upon to eat up some innings after starter Spenser Watkins was tagged for eight runs, but Wade needed 40 pitches to record only four outs. He has now given up 11 runs across 8.2 big-league innings this season.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Konner Wade: Back with big club
Wade's contract was selected from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. Wade previously made one appearance with the Orioles this season, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk in 1.2 innings. The right-hander was called up along with Fernando Abad after Dusten Knight was optioned and Adam Plutko was designated for assignment. Expect Wade to fill a low-leverage role in the bullpen.... Orioles' Konner Wade: Clears waivers Monday
Wade cleared waivers Tuesday and was assigned to Triple-A Norfolk, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports. The righty went unclaimed on waivers, likely due to his disastrous big-league debut June 26, when the Blue Jays shelled him for six runs on seven hits in 1.2 innings. Wade has pitched much better at Triple-A, though, with a 3.24 ERA in 33.1 innings, so he may earn another chance on the big-league roster this season if such success continues.... See More ... Orioles' Konner Wade: DFA'd by Orioles
Wade was designated for assignment by the Orioles on Saturday. Wade was sent down by the Orioles on Sunday, and he allowed an unearned run on a hit and two walks while striking out one in 2.1 innings during his most recent minor-league appearance. He'll now be removed from the 40-man roster to make room for right-hander Shaun Anderson, who was claimed off waivers from the Rangers in a corresponding move.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Konner Wade: Contract selected by Baltimore
Wade had his contract selected by the Orioles on Friday. The right-hander inked a minor-league deal with the O's in February and will receive a major-league opportunity after posting a 3.48 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB across 31 innings (two starts) at Triple-A Norfolk. Wade and Alexander Wells figure to be in the mix to fill the rotation spot of Dean Kremer, who was optioned to Norfolk as part of a flurry of moves.... See More ... See Less
