  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Launches 10th homer of 2025

Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-1 win over the White Sox. Guerrero extended the Blue Jays' lead to four runs in the seventh, when he took Aaron Civale deep to left-center field for a solo homer. It was Guerrero's 10th home run of the season, and the All-Star first baseman has recorded at least one RBI in six of his last nine games. Over that span, he has gone 11-for-34 (.324) with one steal, four doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Drives in three in rout

Guerrero went 2-for-2 with three walks, a double and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Diamondbacks. Arizona did its best to pitch around Guerrero, but the 26-year-old slugger still delivered a two-run double in the sixth inning and an RBI single in the seventh. It was his seventh multi-hit performance in 14 June contests, a stretch in which Guerrero is slashing .315/.403/.500 with seven doubles, one homer, two steals, eight runs and 11 RBI.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Goes yard Tuesday

Guerrero went 3-for-4 with an RBI double, a solo home run and an RBI single during Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks. Guerrero fell a triple short of the cycle Tuesday, collecting his first three-hit outing since May 9. The first baseman tagged Brandon Pfaadt for a solo homer in the third inning, marking Guerrero's ninth homer of the campaign. It's been a down year for Guerrero, who's slashing .281/.380/.434 in 313 plate appearances after slashing .323/.396/.544 in 2024. He's also on pace to fall short of his 2024 totals in home runs, doubles, RBI and runs scored.

Guerrero went 2-for-5 with one RBI, one run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Cardinals. Guerrero scored in the third inning before adding an RBI single and a stolen base in the fourth. While the 26-year-old hasn't homered since May 29, he's remained productive with four multi-hit efforts, five RBI, nine runs scored and his only two steals this season in the 11 games since. On the year, he's slashing .278/.380/.421 with eight homers, 30 RBI and 41 runs scored across 297 plate appearances.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Rare day off Tuesday

Guerrero is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in St. Louis. It's a rare day off for Guerrero, whose only other breather this season came back on April 10. The Blue Jays will go with Ernie Clement at first base Tuesday as Guerrero receives some well-deserved rest.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Swipes first bag of year

Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Phillies. The Blue Jays managed only five hits on the night in a 2-1 victory, and Guerrero's was key -- he banged a one-out single up the middle in the ninth inning, stole second, then came around to score the winning run on Alejandro Kirk's walk-off single. The steal was Guerrero's first of 2025, not a surprise for a player with a career high of eight in the category, and the single extended his on-base streak to 34 games, a stretch in which he's slashing .286/.401/.460 with four doubles, six homers, 16 RBI and 23 runs.

Guerrero has reached base safely in an impressive 30 straight games, slashing .288/.407/.468 over that span with six homers, 14 RBI and 23 runs.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Homers in Thursday's loss

Guerrero went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in Thursday's 8-3 loss to the Rays. Guerrero has been steady at the plate lately, hitting safely in 15 of the last 16 games. In that span, he's gone 20-for-60 (.333) with three homers, eight RBI and a 12:14 BB:K. The first baseman's power isn't quite at the expected level with just five homers, but there's been little else to complain about with his play. He's slashing .294/.395/.438 with 20 RBI, 24 runs scored and eight doubles across 43 contests.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Extends hitting streak to 10 games

Guerrero went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk in Thursday's win over the Angels. Guerrero extended his hitting streak to 10 games and delivered his third multi-hit effort during the streak. The All-Star first baseman is batting sizzling .359 (14-for-39) with two homers, one double, six RBI and nine runs scored in those 10 contests. Although Guerrero has just four round trippers over 139 at-bats this season, his top-tier 54.2 percent hard-hit rate entering Thursday's action suggests some positive regression could be on the horizon in the power department.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Crushes go-ahead three-run homer

Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Thursday's win over the Red Sox. Guerrero played the role of hero Thursday, crushing a go-ahead three-run jack in the eighth inning to power Toronto to victory. The All-Star first baseman has now logged a hit in six of his last seven games, and he entered Thursday with an elite 54.4 percent hard-hit rate in 2025. The Blue Jays managed just four hits as a team, but Guerrero was able to get a hold of one off Garrett Crochet in the third for his third homer of the year. Guerrero leads the Blue Jays in home runs and RBI (14), though that's not saying a ton, as Toronto has just 15 homers this season. He's hitting just .160 over his last seven games but holds a .271 average and .368 on-base percentage so far this season.

He has a .779 OPS with 10 runs scored and 11 RBI in 114 plate appearances so far this season.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Inks massive contract extension

Guerrero and the Blue Jays agreed Sunday on a 14-year, $500 million contract extension, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports. Guerrero will be a mainstay in the Toronto lineup for many years to come, inking a lucrative deal to remain with the Blue Jays through the 2039 campaign. The first baseman has produced a career .288/.363/.499 slash line with 160 home runs over six-plus seasons with the team, which has earned him the third-largest contract in MLB history. Guerrero is batting .256/.333/.333 with three doubles, four RBI and three runs scored over 45 plate appearances in 10 games this season.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Two hits in win vs. Baltimore

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Friday against Baltimore, as the Blue Jays won 8-2. Guerrero doubled in the third inning and was stranded there by his teammates, but he helped break the game open for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the fourth, chasing starting pitcher Charlie Morton along the way. The first baseman delivered a sacrifice fly that scored Nathan Lukes and gave the Jays a 4-2 lead, as they eventually cruised to an 8-2 win. Guerrero mashed a year ago with a .323/.396/.544 slash line and, he will hope to replicate that success as he potentially heads to free agency this winter. The superstar recently turned just 26 years old and has been a full-time major leaguer since 2019.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Proposed 15-year deal

Guerrero told ESPN's Enrique Rojas and Ernesto Jerez that his representation's final offer to the Blue Jays during contract extension negotiations was for 15 years and less than $600 million. It's not clear what the Blue Jays' final proposal was, but Guerrero has said previously that the two sides were not close. He will turn 26 later this month, so it's not a surprise that he was seeking to match the length of the contract given to Juan Soto, who is a few months older than Guerrero. Teams in recent years have been reluctant to hand out megadeals to righty-swinging first basemen, so it will be interesting to see whether Vlad Jr. will be able to get the dollar figure he's seeking next offseason when he reaches free agency.
