Jandel Gustave: Released by Diamondbacks
Gustave was released by the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, Chris Hillburn-Trenkle of Baseball America reports.
Gustave was signed to a minor-league deal by the Diamondbacks in the offseason after being non-tendered by the Brewers, and he struggled to a 16.43 ERA over nine appearances with Triple-A Reno before being placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list late in April. The right-hander is now free to sign with another club, but his lack of success in 2023 could make for a limited market.

Brewers' Jandel Gustave: Begins rehab assignment
Gustave (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville on Friday.
Gustave sustained a right hamstring strain in mid-May and carried an initial recovery timetable of approximately six weeks. However, the right-hander has now been cleared to return to game action in the minors. It's possible that he'll require multiple rehab appearances prior to rejoining Milwaukee's bullpen, but his stint with the Triple-A club should be the final step in his recovery process.

Brewers' Jandel Gustave: Moved to minors
The Brewers optioned Gustave to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Mejia, who was called up from Nashville. After earning a spot on Milwaukee's Opening Day roster, Gustave appeared in 11 games through the first month of the season and logged a 6.00 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across 12 innings.

Brewers' Jandel Gustave: Comes out of quarantine
Gustave (illness) was cleared to rejoin the Brewers for workouts over the weekend, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Gustave is working out again after completing a 15-day quarantine following his positive COVID-19 test. Even before he was deactivated, the 28-year-old wasn't seeing high-leverage work out of the Milwaukee bullpen, so the Brewers aren't likely to be in any rush to reinstate him from the COVID-19 injured list. He'll likely head out on a minor-league rehab assignment once he gets a few throwing sessions under his belt.
