  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Reaches four times in loss

Muncy went 2-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base Saturday in a loss to St. Louis. The Dodgers offense struggled to produce runs again Saturday, but Muncy did what he could to set the table from the middle of the order by reaching in all four of his trips to the plate. The veteran third baseman even got himself into scoring position with a rare stolen base -- his third of the campaign, which is already tied for the second-highest total of his career -- but he ended up being stranded there. Muncy continues to turn things around at the plate; he was hitting below the Mendoza Line as recently as May 14 but has batted .311 over 20 games since then to push his season slash line to .229/.353/.422.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Idle for series finale

Muncy is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets. The Dodgers and Mets are wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, and southpaw David Peterson is on the hill for New York, so the left-handed-hitting Muncy will get the afternoon off. Miguel Rojas will check in at third base in place of Muncy, who went 7-for-19 with five home runs, three walks, 11 RBI and six runs while starting in each of the past five contests.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Swats two more homers

Muncy went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Mets. Muncy is up to nine homers this season, with six of them coming over his last seven games. In that span, he has gone 9-for-22 (.409) with 14 RBI. He supplied a two-run homer in the first inning Tuesday and then delivered the game-tying run with a solo shot in the ninth. Muncy has slashed .230/.350/.432 with 35 RBI, 19 runs scored, two stolen bases, eight doubles and a triple over 57 contests in 2025. This power surge should help the third baseman maintain his strong-side platoon role at the hot corner, and he even got a start versus a lefty (Ryan Yarbrough) on Sunday.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Continues power surge

Muncy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Yankees. Muncy's third long ball of the three-game series was a 403-foot solo shot to right field in the seventh inning. The veteran slugger didn't go deep until his 29th game of the season and was stuck on that single long ball and a batting average below the Mendoza Line through 39 contests. However, he's turned things around since mid-May, slashing .320/.422/.700 with six home runs, 23 RBI, nine runs, one stolen base and a 10:7 BB:K over his past 16 games.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Powers offense in rout

Muncy went 3-for-6 with two home runs, three total runs and seven RBI in Saturday's 18-2 thrashing of the Yankees. Muncy's first RBI was a relatively quiet one, as he laced a single to center to bring in the Dodgers' second run in the first inning. The veteran third baseman followed with two big blasts -- a 400-foot, three-run shot in the second inning to send New York starter Will Warren to the showers and a 410-foot, three-run blast in the fifth. Muncy achieved a couple of personal milestones Saturday, as his first long ball was the 200th regular-season homer of his big-league career, while his seven RBI tied a single-game career high. He appears to be coming around in the power department; after swatting just one long ball in his first 39 games, Muncy has belted five homers while racking up 22 RBI over his past 15 contests.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Goes deep, swipes bag

Muncy went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's win against Cleveland. Muncy drew a leadoff walk, swiped second base and scored a run in the second inning. His big moment of the night came in the ninth inning when he belted a three-run insurance shot. Muncy was stuck in a 5-for-26 (.192) skid since his last home run May 15. The veteran slugger is now slashing .212/.337/.345 with 24 RBI and four home runs this season.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Resting Sunday

Muncy isn't part of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports. After making four straight starts at third base, Muncy will get a breather for Sunday's series finale against the Angels. In his place, Enrique Hernandez will bat seventh and play third base.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Goes yard again Thursday

Muncy went 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk, four RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 19-2 win over the Athletics. Muncy had the first of the Dodgers' five homers in the contest, putting them ahead 3-1 with the first-inning blast. He added an RBI single in the second and a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Muncy has homered in back-to-back contests, and over his last seven games, he's gone 9-for-27 (.333) with nine RBI. The third baseman's batting average is at a season-high .207 with a .664 OPS, three long balls, 16 RBI, 11 runs scored and a stolen base across 41 games.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Launches second homer

Muncy went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Athletics. The third baseman was on his way to a hitless performance but instead broke the game open in the eighth inning with a three-run shot to right field. It's just the second home run of the year for Muncy, who is batting .191/.310/.305 through 40 games this year. He's never provided a high-average bat, but Muncy has yet to consistently find his power stroke in 2025 with a .114 ISO and 29.0 percent strikeout rate, both of which would be career worsts for a full season.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Launches first home run

Muncy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a triple and a second run scored in Wednesday's 12-7 win over the Marlins. Muncy opened the scoring with a two-out, 433-foot blast off Cal Quantrill in the second inning, his first homer in 29 games this year. Muncy would add a second hit with a leadoff triple in the seventh. It's been a rough start to the year for the veteran third baseman, though he's shown signs of life recently, going 5-for-15 in his last four contests. Overall, Muncy's slashing .194/.309/.301 with five RBI and seven runs scored through 110 plate appearances this season.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Not in Wednesday's lineup

Muncy is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Cubs, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports. The left-handed-hitting Muncy will take a seat as the Cubs send southpaw Matthew Boyd to the bump. Miguel Rojas will handle third base and bat eighth for the Dodgers.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Sitting vs. southpaw

Muncy is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup against the Cubs on Friday, Noah Camras of DodgersNation.com reports. With the Cubs sending left-hander Matthew Boyd to the mound, Muncy will begin Friday's game in the dugout while Miguel Rojas starts at third base and bats ninth. Muncy has gone 6-for-25 with three doubles, two RBI and 11 strikeouts since the beginning of April.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Taking seat versus lefty

Muncy is not in the lineup for Friday's game in Philadelphia, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. It's southpaw Jesus Luzardo on the bump for the Phillies, so the left-handed-hitting Muncy will begin this one on the bench. Miguel Rojas will play third base and bat eighth in Friday's series opener.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: On bench Tuesday

Muncy is absent from Tuesday's lineup against Atlanta. Muncy has had a rough start to the season and will get some rest Tuesday with lefty Chris Sale on the mound. The third baseman has recorded just two hits through the first six games and has struck out in seven of his 15 plate appearances. Miguel Rojas has the start at third base Tuesday night.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Plates two in spring win

Muncy went 1-for-1 with a double, two RBI and two walks against the Guardians in a Cactus League victory Tuesday. Muncy's first-inning double was just his second extra-base hit of the spring. However, he's tied for third on the team with six RBI and ranks second with eight walks. Muncy has posted a walk rate of at least 15 percent in six of his seven seasons with the Dodgers and has belted 30-plus homers four times during that span, making him a particularly valuable third-base option in fantasy leagues that use OBP rather than batting average.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Starting at first base for Game 6

Muncy will start at first base and bat fifth in Game 6 of the NLCS against the Mets on Sunday, Noah Camras of DodgersNation.com reports. Enrique Hernandez will start at third base Sunday while Muncy shifts to first base due to Freddie Freeman (ankle) being absent from the starting lineup. Muncy has gone 5-for-13 with nine walks, two home runs and four RBI over the first five games of the NLCS.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Not starting Friday

Muncy is absent from Friday's lineup against Colorado, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports. Muncy has gone 1-for-9 with one run scored and three walks in his last three starts since returning from side soreness. He'll begin Friday's contest in the dugout as Chris Taylor draws the start at third base and bats eighth.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Good to go Tuesday

Muncy (side) is starting at third base and batting fifth Tuesday against the Padres, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports. The third baseman was scratched from the lineup Sunday against the Rockies due to side soreness, but he's ready to play following Monday's team off day. Muncy started off September by going 0-for-11, but he has a .286/.446/.643 slash line with three doubles, four homers, 11 RBI and 12 runs in his past 14 games.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Scores four times in rout

Muncy went 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and four runs in Thursday's 20-4 rout of Miami. Muncy reached five times in the contest on two singles, two walks and a hit-by-pitch. He came around to score in four of those instances, marking the most times he has crossed the plate in a single game this season. Muncy has reached base safely in 13 of his past 21 plate appearances and is batting .467 (7-for-15) with two doubles, a homer, seven runs, seven RBI and four walks over five games during that stretch.

  • Dodgers' Max Muncy: Getting day off

Muncy is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins. Muncy had started in each of the last 10 games, and with a lefty (Ryan Weathers) on the mound for the Marlins, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts likely decided it was an ideal time to give the lefty-hitting third baseman a day off. Enrique Hernandez will spell Muncy at the hot corner.
