  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Skips planned mound session

Urias (hamstring) did not throw off the bullpen mound Saturday as planned, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

It's not all bad news as Urias was able to go through a full workout and throw from flat ground Saturday. However, since he did not resume mound work as expected, this could potentially set his return date back a bit. Manager Dave Roberts said earlier this week that he was "hopeful" to have the lefty back in early June against the Yankees when first eligible.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Aiming for early June return

Urias (hamstring) is slated to throw a bullpen session this weekend in Tampa Bay, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that he's "hopeful" Urias will rejoin the rotation in early June against the Yankees when first eligible. The veteran left-hander landed on the injured list over the weekend following a poor start in St. Louis, but it sounds like he won't miss much time if he progresses as hoped.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Placed on IL with hamstring strain

Urias was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Dodgers on Saturday with a left hamstring strain, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Urias struggled in his start Thursday against the Cardinals while allowing six runs in just three innings, and it's possible the hamstring injury was partially responsible for the issues. The left-hander is now scheduled to miss at least two weeks while recovering. Wander Suero will take Urias's place on the roster, but the Dodgers will need to add a new starter to the roster in the coming days. It could be Gavin Stone or Michael Grove -- or possibly both -- with Dustin May (elbow) also out of action.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Rocked by long ball

Urias (5-4) took the loss Thursday, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks over three innings in a 16-8 loss to St. Louis. He struck out one.

Urias gave up four homers in the third inning and wasn't given the chance to pitch in the fourth. The long ball has become a problem for Urias, as he's surrendered 14 homers through 10 starts and has given up multiple home runs in half his outings. The lefty has made at least 30 starts and posted an ERA under 3.00 in each of the last two seasons, but he is sporting a 4.39 ERA after the Cardinals teed off Thursday.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Strong in Saturday's win

Urias (5-3) allowed two runs on three hits and struck out four without walking a batter to earn the win Saturday over the Padres.

Urias completed seven innings for just the second time this year, and those two games have been his best of the season. He limited the damage to solo home runs by Juan Soto and Ha-Seong Kim, both of which came in the first two innings. Urias has quality starts in five of his nine outings this season, pitching to a 3.61 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 52:9 K:BB across 52.1 frames. He's tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in St. Louis.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Yields two runs in no-decision

Urias allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.2 innings during Sunday's win over the Padres. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Urias coughed up both runs in the first inning before settling in for 4.2 scoreless frames. It was his first start of the season in which he wasn't part of the decision. The 26-year-old southpaw saw his ERA dip slightly to 3.77 with a 48:9 K:BB through 45.1 innings. Urias is currently expected to get a home rematch against the Padres next week.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Masterful in win

Urias (4-3) earned the win Tuesday over the Phillies. He allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out 10 over seven innings.

Urias' lone blemish was a solo home run he allowed to former teammate Trea Turner in the fourth inning. The Dodgers provided plenty of support for their starter, and Urias responded with his longest -- and arguably best -- start of the season. He snapped a three-game losing streak and now owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 45:8 K:BB through 39.2 innings across seven starts this year. The southpaw is projected for a road start in Milwaukee next week.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Struggles again Wednesday

Urias (3-3) took the loss Thursday, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.2 innings against the Pirates. He struck out five.

Urias was the latest victim of the Pirates' surprisingly potent offense, as he surrendered three runs in the first inning and three more in the fifth in a 6-2 defeat. After allowing just three runs in his first three outings, Urias has now lost his last three starts, giving up 13 runs over 14.1 innings. The home-run ball has been particularly problematic for Urias, as he's let up six homers during his current three-game losing streak. The 26-year-old left-hander has a 4.41 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 35:7 K:BB in 32.2 innings this season.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Early exit in rout

Urias (3-2) took the loss Friday, coughing up five runs on seven hits and two walks over 3.1 innings in a 13-0 rout at the hands of the Cubs. He struck out four.

The southpaw had trouble hitting his spots, throwing 52 of 86 pitches for strikes but getting hit hard when he was in the strike zone, as five of the seven hits off Urias went for extra bases, including homers by Cody Bellinger and Trey Mancini. It's the first time in five outings Urias hasn't been able to pitch into the sixth inning, and he'll carry a 3.33 ERA and 30:5 K:BB through 27 innings into his next start, likely to come next week in Pittsburgh.
