Thomson was called up from AHL Belleville on Tuesday.
In a corresponding move, Ottawa sent Jacob Larsson to the minors. Thomson has three goals and 10 points in 15 AHL contests this campaign. He could get a chance to make his NHL season debut Wednesday if Thomas Chabot (concussion) isn't ready to return.
