Nelson (undisclosed) was placed on the practice squad IR on Friday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Nelson was brought in to replace long snapper Aaron Brewer (arm), but he proceeded to suffer an undisclosed injury of his own during practice. The Cardinals added Beau Brinkley to their practice squad as they continue their search for a healthy long snapper.
