Safety Antoine Bethea (shoulder) has been placed on season-ending injured reserve by the 49ers, reports ESPN.
Bethea hurt his shoulder during the Thursday loss to Seattle. He is one of the league's more underrated players, and he'd been one of the few bright spots for the 49ers this season. He finishes his year with 44 tackles in seven games, after recording at least 13 appearances and 65 tackles in each of his first nine seasons.
