Mays will start at point guard for Friday's game against the Kings, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
Mays was signed to a 10-day contract March 29. The Blazers are very thin in the backcourt and have already shut down Damian Lillard (calf) for the season, so they'll waste no time in seeing what Mays can do as a primary ball handler.
