Commanders' Dax Milne: Lands on IR
The Commanders placed Milne (groin) on injured reserve Friday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
Milne continues to deal with a groin injury sustained during the preseason. He will have to miss at least Washington's first four games of the season before being eligible for a return designation. The 2021 seventh-round pick has yet to rack up 100 receiving yards in a single year.

Milne has been dealing with a groin injury for nearly two weeks now, and his status for Week 1 appears to be in jeopardy at this point. If he were forced to sit out, one of Antonio Gibson, Byron Pringle or Jahan Dotson would likely take over punt-return duties.

Milne has been battling the injury for over a week now and it's not clear how much more time he may miss, or if his status for Week 1 against the Cardinals is in doubt. The BYU product is currently No. 5 on the team's positional depth chart at wide receiver, so his potential absence wouldn't likely have any impact on fantasy rosters.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Dealing with injury
Milne recently suffered a groin injury and is being monitored this week, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
It's not clear if the injury is keeping Milne off the practice field or when it occurred. However, according to head coach Ron Rivera, the injury wouldn't impact the team's final 53-man roster. Considering Milne is likely inside the bubble at the moment, that should be good news for the BYU product.

Commanders' Dax Milne: No catches since November
Milne finished the 2022 season with six catches for 37 yards, 40 punt returns for 311 yards and 15 kickoff returns for 300 yards.
The 2021 seventh-round pick had a long return of 19 yards for punts and 33 yards for kickoffs, but the Commanders might be okay with the lack of explosiveness given that he didn't muff a punt or lose a fumble all year. Milne nonetheless could face competition for the return job during Washington's offseason program, and he's unlikely to reach the top three of the depth chart on offense.

Milne (foot) shed his injury designation and practiced in full Thursday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Milne hasn't played since Week 11 against the Texans and was unable to practice leading up to the team's Week 14 bye. After logging a limited practice Wednesday, the 23-year-old has proven himself healthy and should be good to go Sunday against the Giants.
