Cheatham made an impact on both ends of the court and is an excellent rebounder for his size. He has posted 10 games with double-digit boards and is averaging 12.2 points with 8.8 boards per contest in the regular season.

Cheatham was efficient from the field in this one, and he recorded his second game with at least 20 points while also ending up just two boards shy of recording what would've been his third double-double of the campaign and first since Jan. 5. Cheatham is averaging 12.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game this season.

Cheatham was one of three starters that ended with 16 points for the Squadron, though unlike Kelan Martin and James Kelly, he was extremely efficient from the field. The big man is averaging 12.2 points and 8.8 rebounds in the regular season.

Cheatham struggled badly from three-point range, and that was the only reason why he couldn't complete a double-double. That said, he remains a key player for Birmingham due to his ability to impact the game on both ends of the court.

Zylan Cheatham: Hits game-winner Saturday
Cheatham finished with 21 points (7-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and a steal across 32 minutes in Saturday's 112-111 win over Stockton.
Cheatham was the reason why Birmingham escaped with the victory here, as he drained the game-winning shot with a hook from close range in the final minute of the game. The forward has been consistent for Birmingham and is averaging 13.8 points with 8.3 rebounds per contest this season.

Cheatham was extremely sloppy with the ball since he committed six turnovers, but he still ended as one of Birmingham's best players in a game where the entire Squadron team looked overmatched at times. Cheatham has been a regular source of production for Birmingham and is averaging 14.0 points with 8.4 rebounds per game during the regular season.

Cheatham racked up 18 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, an assist and two blocks across 33 minutes in Sunday's 126-124 loss to the Ignite.
Cheatham might be undersized to play at center in the NBA, but he hasn't had that problem in the G League. He's one of the most consistent two-way players for the Squadron, and he's a solid bet to score in double digits while hovering around the 10-rebound mark every time he steps on the court.

Another game, another double-double for Cheatham, who continues to settle as a solid two-way player in the G League due to the impact he has on both ends of the court. Counting the Showcase and the start of the regular season, Cheatham has five double-doubles in the campaign.

Cheatham didn't come close to a double-double, and his rebound numbers are not as impressive as last season's marks, but he continues to be a productive player for the Squadron. He's averaging 16.5 points per game while shooting an impressive 59.1 percent from the field.

Cheatham is a productive player at the G League level, and he only needed a few games to establish himself as one of Birmingham's go-to players on offense. He's scored in double digits in all but one of his 10 appearances for the Squadron and is averaging 15.7 points with 7.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

Cheatham continues to look active on both ends of the court and remains a legit double-double threat every time he steps on the court for the Squadron. That said, his numbers have taken a step in the wrong direction of late. He's failed to reach the 15-point mark in each of his last four appearances and has recorded only two double-doubles across eight games to date.

Even though Cheatham is a bit undersized to play in the frontcourt, he manages to make an impact down low. This was just his second appearance with the Squadron, but he's a double-double threat every time he steps on the G League court.

Cheatham is a G League veteran already and was a consistent double-double threat last season, when he averaged 14.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for Birmingham. While his scoring figures can be inconsistent, expect him to be a two-way threat for the Squadron once again.

Zylan Cheatham: Not on Pelicans' final roster
The Pelicans waived Cheatham on Saturday, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
The Arizona State product agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Pelicans in advance of training camp, but he wasn't able to secure a spot on the season-opening roster. The 26-year-old forward will most likely begin the new season in the G League with the Birmingham Squadron.

Pelicans' Zylan Cheatham: Inks deal with New Orleans
Cheatham and the Pelicans agreed to a contract Friday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Cheatham has played in just five NBA games since going undrafted out of Arizona State in 2019. However, he's held a prominent role in the G League over the past three seasons and will hope to parlay that into a final roster spot.
