  • Hockey Club's Curtis Douglas: Heads to AHL

Douglas (undisclosed) was activated from season-opening injured reserve and assigned to AHL Tucson on Friday, per Tim Hiebert of The Hockey News.

Douglas was injured during training camp, but he's apparently ready to play. The 24-year-old forward figures to spend most, if not all, of 2024-25 in the AHL.

  • Hockey Club's Curtis Douglas: Given non-roster status

Douglas (undisclosed) was placed on the non-roster list Monday, per The Hockey News.

Douglas apparently suffered some injury during training camp. The 24-year-old signed a two-year deal with Utah in July, but he's likely to spend most of the campaign with AHL Tucson once he's recovered from his injury.

  • Hockey Club's Curtis Douglas: Inks two-year contract

Douglas signed a two-year, two-way contract with Utah on Sunday.

Douglas chipped in five goals, 21 points and 148 PIM in 57 regular-season contests for AHL Tucson in 2023-24. He will likely begin the upcoming campaign in the minors. The 24-year-old forward doesn't have any NHL experience yet.

  • Coyotes' Curtis Douglas: Coyotes acquire from Leafs

Douglas was acquired by Arizona on Wednesday from the Maple Leafs in exchange for Conor Timmins, Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports reports.

Douglas has an assist and 30 PIM in 13 AHL games this season. The 22-year-old forward hasn't played in the NHL yet. He might factor into the Coyotes' long-term plans, but for now even if Douglas is called up, he likely won't play in more than a bottom-six role.

  • Curtis Douglas: Signs entry-level deal with Toronto

Douglas signed a future two-year, entry-level contract with the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

Douglas, who was originally drafted by the Stars in the fourth round of the 2018 Entry Draft, has drawn into 49 games with AHL Toronto this season, picking up eight goals and 27 points over that span. The 6-foot-9 forward's deal will presumably begin with the 2022-23 campaign, during which he'll likely spend most of his time in the minors.

  • Curtis Douglas: Eligible for 2020 Draft

Douglas was not given an entry-level contract by the Stars, Sean Shapiro of The Athletic reports, and he will be eligible to be selected in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Douglas racked up 30 goals and 30 helpers in 62 contests for OHL Windsor this season but it wasn't enough to convince the Stars to bring him into the fold. After being selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, the center almost certainly will get taken by a team in the upcoming draft.

  • Stars' Curtis Douglas: Reaches 30-goal plateau

Douglas scored twice in OHL Windsor's 3-2 loss to Owen Sound on Thursday.

Douglas is averaging a point per game (30 goals, 60 points in 60 games) for the first time in his OHL career, but he hasn't taken the significant step forward this season that many expected. Douglas will always be an intriguing prospect given the fact he checks in at 6-foot-9, but the 2018 fourth-rounder (106th overall) remains nothing more than a high-end lottery ticket for the Stars.

  • Stars' Curtis Douglas: Massive forward finding game

Douglas scored twice in OHL Windsor's 5-0 shutout of Erie on Thursday.

Douglas has made significant strides for Windsor this season despite the fact his numbers (18 goals, 32 points in 43 games) aren't overwhelming. He has fired at least five shots on goal on 14 separate occasions this year and he is slowly learning how to use his massive 6-foot-9 frame to his advantage. The 2018 fourth-round selection would be one of the largest players in NHL history if he ever makes it to the show. He remains a long shot to carve out a career as an NHL regular, but Douglas' ability to dominate a shift at any given time makes his development worth tracking.
