Cuylle posted an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Blue Jackets. Cuylle hasn't scored in six games, but he has three helpers, 13 shots on net and 20 hits in that span. The 23-year-old power winger continues to make a physical impact while also offering decent supporting scoring in a top-six role. He's at 36 points, 126 shots, 244 hits, 40 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 67 appearances this season, with nine of those points coming over the last 13 contests.... See More ... Rangers' Will Cuylle: Supplies helper in win
Cuylle notched an assist, four shots on goal and seven hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Wild. Cuylle has racked up hits in spades this season, but seven hits were the most he's had in any game since Jan. 18 versus the Blue Jackets. He's also emerged as a decent supporting scorer with eight points across his last 12 contests. The power winger has 35 points, 123 shots on net, 242 hits, 40 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a plus-9 rating over 66 appearances. He'll have a little extra fantasy value as long as he's on the first line at even strength.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Playing Saturday
Cuylle (illness) will be in the lineup versus Ottawa on Saturday, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post. Cuylle won't miss any game time after sitting out Thursday's practice and skating before Friday's session. He has a career-high 17 goals and 16 assists across 62 contests, and his 226 hits are only 23 shy of last season's mark. Cuylle will play in the top six and could see time with the second unit power-play unit.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Not practicing Friday
Cuylle (illness) skated prior to practice Friday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports. Cuylle missed practice Thursday and did not practice with the team Friday, though he did manage to skate before the rest of team began their morning skate. Cuylle has 17 goals, 16 helpers and 226 hits across 62 appearances with the Rangers this season. He should be considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's tilt in Ottawa.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Credited with fluky game-winner
Cuylle scored the game-winning goal and added a shorthanded assist in Monday's 4-0 win over the Islanders. 'Scored' might be too strong a word for Cuylle's contribution to the GWG -- Zac Jones took a shot from the point that deflected off Kyle Palmieri's skate, and in flinching away from the puck as it fluttered through the air, Cuylle inadvertently re-directed it into the net off his helmet. Puck luck has been on Cuylle's side of late -- he's collected four goals and six points over the last seven games as he builds on a career-best campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Nets shortie in loss
Cuylle scored a shorthanded goal on three shots, added four hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. Cuylle has three goals and an assist over the last five games, and he's seeing time in all situations currently. The 23-year-old winger hasn't received a lot of power-play time this season, but he's been a natural fill-in on the second unit while Chris Kreider (upper body) is on the mend. Cuylle is up to 16 goals, 31 points, 109 shots on net, 221 hits, 30 PIM and a plus-8 rating through 59 appearances. A 40-point campaign is within reach, and he could also challenge for the 300-hit mark as a middle-six power winger.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Scores in back-to-back games
Cuylle scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Senators. Cuylle went through a rough patch in recent weeks since he went pointless on 13 straight games between Dec. 22 and Jan. 18, but he's turned things around after finding the back of the net in his last two games. He's up to 13 goals and a career-high 26 points on the season, but his recent dry spell points to a lack of consistency that limits his fantasy upside in most formats.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Collects assist in win
Cuylle registered an assist and three shots on goal in Friday's 3-1 win over the Stars. Cuylle has remained somewhat steady on offense with four points over his last seven contests. The 22-year-old winger set up Chris Kreider's empty-net goal after missing the open cage on his own attempt. Cuylle is at 24 points, 60 shots on net, 123 hits and a plus-12 rating through 32 appearances. He remains a bright spot in the Rangers' lineup, and his strong play has earned him a place on the second line amid the team's recent shuffling in an effort to break out of a deep funk.... Rangers' Will Cuylle: Logs helper Sunday
Cuylle posted an assist in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken. Cuylle followed a four-game point streak with a pair of scoreless efforts before bouncing back Sunday. The 22-year-old winger continues to impress in a third-line role, adding a blend of depth scoring and ultra-physical play. Cuylle is at nine goals, 12 helpers, 48 shots on net, 100 hits and a plus-10 rating over 26 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Scores twice in loss to St. Louis
Cuylle scored two goals in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Blues. Cuylle found the back of the net in the first and second periods, but the Blues scored three unanswered goals to secure the victory in Madison Square Garden. Cuylle is up to nine goals on the season. He did have a slow start to the campaign on the goal-scoring front, but he's recorded eight markers over his past 13 appearances and has found the back of the net four times over his last four games.... Rangers' Will Cuylle: Two-point effort in win
Cuylle scored a goal, added an assist, logged three hits and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Canucks. The Rangers' third line kept them afloat in a close game. Cuylle and Kaapo Kakko each assisted on each other's goals in the contest. With three goals and three assists over his last six appearances, Cuylle is sustaining strong offense while playing on the third line. The 22-year-old winger has six goals, 14 points, 31 shots on net, 72 hits and a plus-14 rating through 17 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Massive breakout in progress
Cuylle had a goal and an assist in a 6-3 loss to the Jets on Tuesday. Cuylle cleaned up a rebound in the first to knot the game 1-1. The 22-year-old forward already has 11 points, including five goals, and 28 shots in 14 games. He's just 10 points from matching the 21 he scored in 81 games as a rookie last season. Cuylle's 17.9 shooting percentage is probably unsustainable, but he could still find his way to 45-50 points in a breakout sophomore season.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Scores in loss to Buffalo
Cuylle scored a goal while adding four shots, four hits and a blocked shot in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Sabres. Cuylle scored his fourth goal of the season in this one, though by the time he found the back of the net in the third period, the game was already decided. The 22-year-old might not be much of a scoring weapon in a loaded Rangers roster, but it's worth noting he has found the back of the net in three of his last five appearances.... See More ... Rangers' Will Cuylle: Two points in overtime loss
Cuylle scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist, logged five hits, added two PIM and went plus-3 in Saturday's 6-5 overtime loss to Utah. A physical game played into Cuylle's hands, leading him to a well-rounded stat line. He was involved in the Rangers' last two goals, including scoring the equalizer at 12:56 of the third period. The second-year winger has three points, four shots on net, eight hits, four PIM and a plus-4 rating over his first two contests of the season while playing on the Rangers' third line.... Rangers' Will Cuylle: Sent to minors
Cuylle was assigned to AHL Hartford on Monday, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports. While the 22-year-old will briefly be assigned to the minor-league club, the Rangers appear to be making several procedural moves Monday and will likely recall Cuylle ahead of the regular-season opener against the Penguins on Wednesday. The winger made 81 regular-season appearances for the Rangers last year and tallied 13 goals, 21 points and 249 hits while averaging 11:08 of ice time.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Garners helper in win
Cuylle logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Panthers in Game 3. Cuylle snapped a four-game point drought with the helper. The 22-year-old has seen a limited role in the Rangers' bottom six this postseason, picking up two points, 17 shots on net, 39 hits and a plus-3 rating over 13 playoff appearances. He's got a steady spot in the lineup, but Cuylle shouldn't be counted on for significant offense.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Not playing Saturday
Cullye will be a healthy scratch at home versus Florida on Saturday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports. Cullye will sit out his first game of the season. The Rangers have 13 forwards and are likely to alternate Cullye, Jonny Brodzinski and Matt Rempe as healthy scratches down the stretch -- barring any injuries. Brodzinski will replace Cullye on the third line Saturday alongside Alexander Wennberg and Kaapo Kakko. Cullye has 12 goals, eight assists and 227 hits in 70 games this season.... See More ... Rangers' Will Cuylle: Shows skill, grit in rivalry win
Cuylle scored his 12th goal of the season and dished out eight hits in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Islanders. Cuylle put the Rangers up 2-1 in the second period, getting open for a stretch pass at the Islanders' blue line before hammering the puck past Ilya Sorokin. The physical rookie has more skill than your typical fourth-liner, but Cuylle isn't afraid to throw his body around, as evidenced by his game-high hit total Sunday. He added two shots and a plus-2 rating to his ledger in the victory. Cuylle has a bright future as a power forward for the Rangers, though his path to a larger role in the immediate future is complicated by the organization's depth at left wing.... See More ... Rangers' Will Cuylle: Stable bottom-six role
Cuylle had one shot on goal and two hits in Monday's 2-1 overtime win over the Avalanche, which marked his 22nd birthday and 50th appearance of the season. The Rangers played their 50th game of the season coming out of the All-Star break, and Cuylle has dressed for all of them. The physical winger came into this campaign with only four contests of NHL experience, but Cuylle's blend of energy and skill has made him a bottom-six staple for the Metropolitan Division leaders. He has eight goals, six assists, 72 shots and 130 hits in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Notches third goal
Cuylle scored a goal and delivered five hits in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Red Wings. Cuylle capped the scoring in the Rangers' four-goal second period, deflecting a Zac Jones shot past Ville Husso to extend New York's lead to 5-0. The 21-year-old Cuylle now has a point in three straight games, tallying two goals and an assist in that span after recording just one goal through his first nine contests. The rookie winger also leads the Rangers with 30 hits through 12 games this year as he continues to look more comfortable on New York's third line.... See More ... See Less
