Thompson allowed four goals on 34 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Oilers. Thompson was worst in the second period, allowing three goals before steadying in the third period and overtime. • Golden Knights' Logan Thompson: Loses in low-scoring game

Thompson allowed one goal on 17 shots in Saturday's 2-0 loss to the Coyotes. The second goal was an empty-netter. Thompson has now lost four straight outings, though the Golden Knights have been shut out twice in those contests. The 26-year-old is at a 5-3-1 record with a 2.32 GAA and a .922 save percentage through nine games. The Golden Knights are set for a back-to-back in Calgary on Monday and in Edmonton on Tuesday, so Thompson and Adin Hill will probably split the starts.

  • Golden Knights' Logan Thompson: Downed in OT by Philly

Thompson made 34 saves in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Flyers. Philly was all over Vegas from the jump, out-shooting the Golden Knights 16-8 in the first period, but Thompson played well enough to give him team a chance to come back and force OT. However, in extra time he got crossed up on a Sean Couturier attempted pass that trickled by both Travis Konecny and the netminder for the game-winner. Thompson has lost three straight starts, going 0-2-1 after a season-opening five-game win streak, but he still sports a strong 2.48 GAA and .920 save percentage.

Thompson stopped 19 of 22 shots in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Ducks. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. Thompson was perfect through two periods, but the Ducks stepped it up in the third against the Golden Knights, who were playing for the second night in a row. He's at a 5-1-0 record with a 2.31 GAA and a .923 save percentage while seeing a fairly even split of playing time with Adin Hill. With Vegas playing just twice over the next week, neither goalie is particularly attractive in weekly formats, though Thompson would be projected for the more favorable matchup Friday versus the Sharks, whereas Hill figures to play Wednesday against the Kings.
