Durandeau was traded to Montreal from New Jersey in a minor-league swap for Nathan Legare on Monday. Durandeau hasn't gotten into an NHL game this season and is now being traded for the second time this year. In 38 combined games for AHL Bridgeport and Utica, the 2017 sixth-round pick has tallied just four goals and 14 assists. He figures to link up with AHL Laval now that he is in the Canadiens' organization.... See More ... See Less

Devils' Arnaud Durandeau: Moved in minor-league trade
New Jersey acquired Durandeau from the Islanders on Sunday in exchange for Tyce Thompson. Durandeau, who will report to AHL Utica, has notched one goal and three assists in 12 minor-league contests with Bridgeport this season. In four NHL contests with the Islanders during the 2022-23 campaign, he was credited with nine shots on goal, two blocked shots and three hits.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Arnaud Durandeau: Lands on waivers
The Islanders waived Durandeau on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Durandeau had 24 goals and 55 points in 68 AHL outings with Bridgeport last season. He also appeared in four games with New York, recording two PIM, nine shots, three hits and two blocked shots in that span. Stan Fischler@StanFischler1H agoI can see the @NYIslanders winning game 4. IF -- A. Varly is at the top of his game; B. Barzy and Bo do what Nelly is doing; score! C. Tighter D and D. Play their hearts out for one of the most devoted fan bases in the NHL. It's not that hard is it? Then go to Raleigh and win.

Stan Fischler@StanFischler11H ago@#NYIslanders coach #PatrickRoy was not wrong in starting #Sorokin. It seemed to make sense at the time but #Ilya simply did not do what was needed. Good idea=bad result. #Varly will take over for Game 4 & it's up to the big guns to deliver. Isles gotta at the very best for V.

x - Michael Schuerlein@islesblogger3D agoWoke up on this random Tuesday off, the sun is out, birds are chirping and this sense of existential dread. Last night was like a fever dream, except it wasn’t. Experience Islanders Hockey. #isles

Stan Fischler@StanFischler3D agoYAY! to @MSGNetworks @NYIslanders TV host -- and my pal -- Shannon Hogan for winning the 2124 David Gross Advocacy Award for her dedicated work advocating and supporting the battle against Alzheimer's Disease.

Stan Fischler@StanFischler3D agoDepartment of Not-Really Coincidence: Last night, Portland Winterhawks grad, Seth Jarvis helped the @Canes beat the @NYIslanders. During the day, Hawks goalie Jan Spunar was named WHL Goalie of the Week. The 19-year-old Czech is undrafted! NHL needs net minders; Jan could be 1.

Stan Fischler@StanFischler3D agoIn Hockey 101 there should be a class called "How To Win Despite 'The Dreaded 3-Goal Lead.' Hard to believe that it happened again but TD3GL did in the @NYIslanders again in the most painful (what else?) of ways in Raleigh last night. It's now Bounce Back Time at the new Corral.
