Bourque was loaned to AHL Texas on Sunday.
During his NHL debut Saturday versus Chicago, Bourque had one shot on goal and two hits in 10:56 of ice time. His demotion was expected because Tyler Seguin (lower body) is slated to return to the lineup Sunday against Colorado.

Stars' Mavrik Bourque: Called up from AHL
Bourque was recalled from AHL Texas on Friday.
Bourque has been exceptional in the AHL this season, as he leads the league in points with 72 in 66 games. Bourque was selected in the first round -- 30th overall -- in 2020. He has little, if anything, left to prove at the AHL level and should make his NHL debut before the end of the regular season.

Bourque was summoned by Dallas from AHL Texas on Thursday.
Bourque had 20 goals and 47 points in 70 regular-season contests with Texas. The 21-year-old hasn't made his NHL debut. Dallas can use the extra depth with Jamie Benn (suspension) out and Evgenii Dadonov (lower body) doubtful for Thursday's contest, but even so, Bourque might not draw into the lineup.

Stars' Mavrik Bourque: Grabs entry-level deal
Bourque penned a three-year, entry-level contract with Dallas on Monday.
Bourque has reached the 25-goal mark in each of his previous two junior seasons and will likely hit that threshold again in 2020-21. Selected by the Stars with the 30th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, another strong campaign from the 19-year-old center could see him jump straight to the NHL roster ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
