Soshnikov was put on waivers Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Soshnikov has appeared in just three contests this season, posting four shots on goal and eight hits. Islanders' Nikita Soshnikov: Expected to play Thursday
Soshnikov is likely to make his debut for the Islanders on Thursday versus the Panthers, Gabriela Carroll of the Islanders' official site reports. Soshnikov has made the team out of training camp, but how long he remains on the team will likely depend upon his production.
