Bengals' Dax Hill: Could be in store for bigger role
Hill could garner a major role in 2023 after Vonn Bell and Jessie Bates both left Cincinnati in free agency, Albert Breer of SI.com reports.
Hill was selected in the first round of the 2022 Draft but was relegated to a backup role as a rookie, totaling 16 tackles across 15 appearances. The Michigan product played over 12 percent of the Bengals' defensive snaps just once last year, totaling eight tackles (five solo) across 63 snaps in Week 15 versus Tampa Bay. If Hill is thrust into a starting role in 2023, his production in that game gives fantasy managers a good sense of what to expect from Hill on a game-by-game basis.

Bengals' Dax Hill: Clears injury designation
Hill (shoulder) was a full participant on Thursday's practice report, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Hill suffered the injury Week 9 against the Panthers, and following the Week 10 bye, he sat out Sunday's game against the Steelers. His return Week 12 against the Panthers should bolster the team's depth at safety.

Hill (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 11 versus the Steelers, Marisa Contipelli of the Bengals' official site reports.
Hill will remain out for a second straight game following Cincinnati's bye week as he continues to deal with a shoulder issue. In his absence, Michael Thomas will step into a larger workload again in Week 12.

Bengals' Daxton Hill: First-team snaps coming
Hill will get plenty of first-team reps in training camp with Jessie Bates having not signed his franchise tender or reported to camp, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports.
Cincinnati's first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft can play either corner or safety, but he most recently played safety at Michigan. It seems likely the Bengals selected Hill with Bates' contract situation at least partially in mind, even if they have publicly denied it. Given that Bates has been a consistent IDP asset in his career, Hill could have a real chance to post big numbers as well if he slides smoothly into Bates' role.
