Chiefs' Darius Harris: Returns to Kansas City
The Chiefs signed Harris to their active roster Tuesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Harris reunites with the Chiefs after being signed off the Raiders' practice squad. He spent the previous three seasons with the Chiefs and recorded 43 tackles (23 solo), including 1.5 sacks, in 17 games for Kansas City in 2022 while contributing as a depth linebacker on defense and on special teams.

Darius Harris: Visits with Vegas
The Raiders hosted a visit with Harris on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Las Vegas waived Harris with an injury settlement in mid-August, but he's apparently back to full health given his visit with the team Friday. Prior to signing with the Raiders in the offseason, Harris had spent three campaigns with Kansas City, and he tallied a career-high 43 tackles (23 solo), including 1.5 sacks, over 17 contests last year.

Darius Harris: Waived from IR with settlement
Las Vegas waived Harris (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Harris was slated to miss the entire 2023 campaign after reverting to injured reserve Sunday, but he'll now be free to join a new team once he can pass a physical. The 27-year-old linebacker spent his first three NFL campaigns with the Chiefs but signed with the Raiders this offseason and was competing for a roster spot.

Kansas City didn't extend Harris a qualifying offer or tender as a restricted free agent Wednesday, so he's officially an unrestricted free agent, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Harris appeared in all 17 of the Chiefs' regular-season contests in 2022 and totaled 43 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one pass defense and one fumble recovery across 278 defensive snaps. The undrafted linebacker out of Middle Tennessee proved capable of solid tackle production when given an expanded role, posting 29 stops during a four-game stretch (Weeks 3-6), but he played primarily on special teams the rest of the season.

Chiefs' Darius Harris: Double digits in tackles
Harris logged 10 tackles (eight solo) and one sack during Week 5's 30-29 win over the Raiders.
Harris notched his first NFL sack during the narrow Week 5 win over Vegas. The linebacker has really stepped up as the team's starting weakside linebacker as Willie Gay remains suspended until Week 7 against the Niners. The 26-year-old will look to continue the momentum in Sunday's matchup against the Bills.

Chiefs' Darius Harris: Leads team in tackles
Harris recorded 13 tackles (seven solo) in the team's 20-17 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Harris was called upon to step up with Willie Gay serving a four-game suspension. It was the second most snaps Harris has played in his three-year career, and his 13 stops topped his previous best of 10 combined tackles. He should continue to play a large role on the Chiefs' defense until at least Gay returns, including Sunday against the Buccaneers.
