Javian Hawkins: Waived by L.A.
The Rams waived Hawkins on Wednesday.
Hawkins spent time with the Falcons, Titans and Rams practice squads during his inaugural professional campaign in 2021. The 5-foot-8 speedster posted 2,347 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns over his final 21 collegiate games at Louisville.

Rams' Javian Hawkins: Signs new contract
Hawkins signed a reserve/future deal with the Rams on Tuesday.
Hawkins joined the Rams' practice squad after short stints with the Titans and Falcons, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2021 out of Louisville. He was elevated to the active roster for Week 14 against the Cardinals, but he never saw the field. With Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson the only running backs under contract next season for the Rams, Hawkins could land a bigger role in 2022.

Javian Hawkins: Returns to Rams' practice squad
Hawkins was restored to the Rams' practice squad from the practice squad COVID-19 list Tuesday.
Hawkins was placed on the COVID list last Wednesday, but he was able to return Tuesday. The running back has yet to appear in a game with the Rams since joining the team's practice squad in September.

Hawkins was placed on the Rams' practice squad COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Hawkins was picked up by the Rams on Sept. 20 but has yet to appear in a game for them. Now that he's been placed on the COVID list, he'll have to clear protocols before getting back to trying to earn a shot with the active roster.

Hawkins was active for Arizona's loss to the Rams on Monday Night Football. He will now wait for another opportunity to get to the 53-man roster while working with the practice squad.

Hawkins was elevated from the Rams' practice squad ahead of Monday's game against Arizona.
Since Darrell Henderson (illness) is on the reserve/COVID-19 list for Monday's contest, Hawkins will serve as additional depth in the backfield behind Sony Michel and Mekhi Sargent. The 22-year-old hasn't yet made a regular-season appearance in the NFL.
