  • Browns' Cedric Tillman: Fails to score TD in rookie season

Tillman (concussion) finished the 2023 season with 21 catches for 224 yards on 44 targets and added an eight-yard run.

Tillman dressed in 14 games as a rookie and took on a larger role down the stretch before missing last weekend's wild-card round playoff loss to the Texans due to a concussion. He's expected to be healthy for OTAs, and while the 2023 third-round draft pick out of Tennessee put up underwhelming numbers in his first NFL campaign, he could benefit from more stability at quarterback in his second season. Five quarterbacks started at least one game for the Browns in 2023: Deshaun Watson (shoulder), Dorian Thompson-Robinson (hip), PJ Walker, Joe Flacco and Jeff Driskel.

  • Browns' Cedric Tillman: Won't play Saturday

Tillman (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday's playoff opener against the Texans, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Tillman, who was forced out of the second half of this past Sunday's loss to Cincinnati due to a concussion, thus will target a potential return to action in the divisional round of the postseason, should Cleveland advance. In Tillman's absence, David Bell and/or Marquise Goodwin (knee) are candidates to log added snaps this weekend alongside the team's top wideouts Amari Cooper (heel) and Elijah Moore.

  • Browns' Cedric Tillman: Misses practice again

Tillman (concussion) isn't practicing Wednesday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Tillman entered concussion protocol during the second half of Sunday's loss to Cincinnati. If he isn't ready to play in Saturday's wild-card game at Houston, the Browns will look to Marquise Goodwin (knee) and/or David Bell to take snaps alongside regular starting wideouts Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore. The 23-year-old Tillman played more than 60 percent of snaps on offense in each of Cleveland's last 10 games, averaging 2.0 catches for 21.9 yards on 4.1 targets per contest.

  • Browns' Cedric Tillman: Sits out Tuesday's practice

Tillman isn't practicing Tuesday due to a concussion, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.

Tillman recorded three catches for 43 yards on six targets while playing 34 snaps on offense in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the Bengals before he exited in the second half to be evaluated for a concussion. The wideout's absence from practice two days later suggests he's in the concussion protocol, putting his status in question for this Saturday's wild-card game in Houston. If Tillman is unable to play, David Bell -- who caught two TDs in Week 18 -- would likely serve as the team's No. 3 receiver behind Amari Cooper (heel) and Elijah Moore.

  • Browns' Cedric Tillman: Being evaluated for concussion

Tillman is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bengals, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Tillman went to the sideline for an evaluation after he took a big shot to the back of his head with just under 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. He caught three passes on six targets for 43 yards before exiting Sunday's contest.

  • Browns' Cedric Tillman: Snap leader at WR

Tillman caught one of four targets for eight yards in Thursday's 37-20 win over the Jets in Week 17.

Tillman entered the game expected to take on a larger role with Amari Cooper (heel) inactive, and he took on increased interest after Elijah Moore entered the NFL's concussion protocol during the game. The rookie led the Browns wideouts with 57 snaps (95 percent) and three of his four targets were in the red zone. Cleveland has extra preparation and healing time before the season finale against the Bengals, and either or both Cooper and Moore could be available. With the Browns having qualified for the postseason, that may enter the decision-making process regarding the availability of the injured receivers Week 18.

  • Browns' Cedric Tillman: Two catches in Week 16

Tillman caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 36-22 win over the Texans in Week 16.

Tillman continues to see significant time on the field, playing nearly 80 percent of the offensive snaps in the eight games since Donovan Peoples-Jones was traded. While the rookie wideout has experienced an increased target rate over the last five games, Tillman's routes-run percentage is the lowest among the Browns' regulars.

  • Browns' Cedric Tillman: Four grabs in Week 15 win

Tillman caught four of eight targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bears.

The eight targets tied Amari Cooper for second on the Browns and set a new career high for Tillman, but the rookie didn't do much with his opportunities. The 2023 third-round pick has still caught multiple passes in four straight games as his role in the passing game increases, and he'll look to put together a breakout performance in Week 16 against the Texans.
