Chiefs' Nick Keizer: Activated Friday
Keizer (undisclosed) was activated off the Chiefs non-football injury list Friday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Keizer was primarily a special-teams contributor for the Chiefs in 2020, but he did haul in six receptions for 63 yards across 16 games as well. It is unclear what issue he was dealing with to kick off training camp, but he will now be able to practice with the team and compete for a spot on the final 53-man roster.

Keizer returns to the Chiefs on a one-year extension after logging six receptions for 63 yards over 16 games last year for the team. He also played 220 special teams snaps on the season.

Keizer's usage trended a bit toward rushing plays in general, not that he would be frequently targeted on passing downs with skill players like Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill on the roster. Keizer enters the offseason as an exclusive-rights free agent, meaning the Chiefs can retain him should they choose to offer Keizer a league-minimum contract.

Keizer was waived by the Ravens on Thursday.
Keizer latched on with Baltimore on a reserve/future contract in January but now appears to be jettisoned in order to free up a roster spot for someone else. Perhaps he could've stayed around on a team that doesn't have the top three spots on the depth chart all but settled, as the Ravens are well-stocked with Hayden Hurst, Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle. The 6-foot-5 Keizer is still only 24 years old and should find another opportunity elsewhere.
