Smith is slated to sign with the Cardinals, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Smith, who previously spent time with the Cowboys, saw action in the XFL last year. With the Cardinals, he'll have a chance to compete for a depth spot in a receiving corps that is currently headlined by Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore.

Smith has signed with Dallas' practice squad, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Smith was competing for a role as a depth receiver with the Cowboys during training camp, but he ultimately failed to make enough of an impression. However, he will now be able to continue practicing with the team while he awaits an opportunity to get called up to the 53-man roster.

The wide receiver appears to have finished the 2021 season with an ankle issue, which he be addressed Thursday. Smith spent the entire year on the Cowboys' practice squad, and he was not activated for any contests.
