Texans' Azeez Al-Shaair: Signing with Houston
Al-Shaair is in line to sign a three-year, $34 million deal with the Texans on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Networkreports.
The linebacker finished with a career-high 163 tackles on a one-year contract with the Titans in 2023. Al-Shaair also recorded 102 tackles with the 49ers in 2021.

Titans' Azeez Al-Shaair: Strong season in Tennessee
Al-Shaair recorded 163 total tackles (84 solo), two sacks, four passes defended and one fumble recovered across 17 games with the Titans in 2023.
Al-Shaair joined the Titans on a one-year deal before the 2023 season and showed the ability to handle a full defensive workload. He was on the field for a career-best 1,048 snaps and topped 100 tackles for the second time in five professional seasons. Al-Shaair will be entering his age-26 campaign, and even at a position that has been devalued in the modern NFL, he should be able to land a relatively significant contract.

Al-Shaair logged 10 total tackles (seven solo) in Monday night's 28-27 win over the Dolphins.
The fifth-year pro continues to be a tackling machine for the Titans, as he's now recorded six games with 10-plus stops this season. Al-Shaair is now averaging 9.54 tackles per game through 13 appearances, and he's almost 40 total tackles ahead of Tennessee's second leading tackler. The 26-year-old is having the most productive year of his career, ranking seventh in the NFL in total tackles with 124. Expect Al-Shaair to continue coming up big for the Titans' defense for the remainder of the season.

Titans' Azeez Al-Shaair: Double-digit tackles in loss
Al-Shaair registered 12 tackles (eight solo), including a sack, in Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to Indianapolis.
Al-Shaair was able to get to the quarterback for the first time since Week 3, bringing down Gardner Minshew for his second sack of the year. The linebacker is now up to a career-high 114 tackles, including the two sacks, while also deflecting four passes and recovering a fumble over 12 games in his first season with Tennessee.
