Jets' John Franklin-Myers: Finishes 2023 with 3.5 sacks
Franklin-Myers posted 3.5 sacks among his 33 tackles (15 solo) and added three passes defensed over 17 games in 2023.
Franklin-Myers is overshadowed by some bigger names on the Jets' defense, but he's a key contributor in his own right. JFM didn't miss a game in 2023 and played more than half of the team's defensive snaps in all but three games. His ability to shift between the edge and interior should allow Franklin-Myers to reclaim a prominent role on New York's defensive line in 2024.

Even though Franklin-Myers was unable to practice all week due to a hip issue, the 27-year-old defensive end will still play in the Jets' Christmas Eve affair. The Stephen F. Franklin-Myers logged his usual workload in this past Sunday's loss to Atlanta, but he appears to have hurt his ankle at some point in the contest. The extent of the injury isn't yet clear, but the Jets' practice report the remainder of the week should provide more clarity on his status for Sunday's battle against Houston. If Franklin-Myers were to sit out, Will McDonald could take on a larger role.
