Player Outlook
Goedert should once again be considered one of the best Fantasy tight ends, and he has top-five upside at his position. He's worth drafting as early as Round 5 in all formats. In 2022, his first full year without Zach Ertz, Goedert averaged a career high 11.8 PPR points per game. He missed five games due to a shoulder injury, but he was still third on the Eagles in targets at 5.8 per game. Now, Goedert's upside is likely capped because of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in Philadelphia, but Goedert remains a prime weapon for Jalen Hurts, which is a great thing. Once Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, T.J. Hockenson and likely Kyle Pitts are drafted in the majority of leagues, you should start looking for Goedert as one of the next tight ends off the board.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Status in doubt for Sunday

Goedert (forearm) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest versus the 49ers. Goedert has made a strikingly fast recovery from a broken right forearm that he suffered Week 9 and required a subsequent surgery. After he was seen catching passes on the side Thursday, he proceeded to mix into drills Friday for the first time since sustaining the injury. Goedert was deemed a limited participant in his return to practice, but his designation of doubtful doesn't give him much of a chance to be available this weekend. Having said that, he told Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer earlier Friday that he'll meet with team doctors, coaches and trainers to see where the tight end stands, and ultimately a decision on his status will be made by the Eagles. If Goedert is inactive Sunday, Jack Stoll will continue to handle most of the TE reps for Philly.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Returns to practice

Goedert (forearm) returned to practice Friday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. This marks Goedert's first participation of any kind since suffering a forearm fracture in the Week 9 win over Dallas. It remains to be seen if he's a full or limited participant and whether the Eagles give him a real chance to play Sunday against the 49ers.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Remains sidelined at practice

Goedert (forearm) was held out of practice Thursday. Somewhat encouragingly, Goedert was spotted catching passes on the side during Thursday's session, per Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer. However, Goedert continues to sit out actual drills just three days out from Sunday's huge matchup with the 49ers. According to James Palmer of NFL Network, Goedert intended to push toward returning to action this weekend from the broken forearm that he suffered Week 9, but his lack of on-field activity so far seemingly puts him on the outside looking in. Friday's injury report may reveal Goedert's fate for Week 13 action.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Not practicing yet

Goedert (forearm) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report. Goedert has yet to practice since breaking his right forearm Week 9 and subsequently undergoing surgery to address the issue. Because of the Eagles' Week 10 bye, he's missed only two games as a result of the injury, and recent rumblings out of Philadelphia have suggested that Goedert is making an attempt to be available Sunday against the 49ers, per James Palmer of NFL Network. With one chance gone to mix into drills this week, Goedert likely will need to get back on the field Thursday and/or Friday to give himself a chance to return to action Week 13.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Pushing to play in Week 13

Goedert (forearm) is targeting a return to the field Sunday versus the 49ers, James Palmer of NFL Network reports. Goedert's potential participation in practice this week will better illuminate his chances of suiting up Week 13. The tight end hasn't played since Week 9 due to a fractured right forearm, though due to the timing of Philadelphia's Week 10 bye he's only actually missed two games so far. Palmer reports that whether or not Goedert can go versus the 49ers, the Eagles consider it realistic for him to be on the field for the Week 14 divisional matchup against the Cowboys.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Ruled out but making progress

Goedert (forearm) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Buffalo, but he's healing quicker than initially expected and has been able to do cardio workouts, Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Coach Nick Sirianni told reporters there's a reason Goedert wasn't placed on injured reserve, hinting that the tight end has a chance to return before missing four games. It'll be his second absence when the Eagles face the Bills on Sunday, leaving Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam as the healthy tight ends, with Grant Calcaterra (ankle) set to join Goedert on the inactive list.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Still not practicing

Goedert (forearm) didn't practice Wednesday. After fracturing his right forearm Week 9 and undergoing surgery, Goedert was expected to miss multiple weeks. So far, he's sat out just one game (Week 11) due to the Eagles having a Week 10 bye, but his lack of activity Wednesday indicates another absence may be on tap Sunday versus the Bills. The Eagles likely will clear up Goedert's status for Week 12 by the time they post their final practice report Friday.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Officially ruled out vs. Chiefs

Goedert (forearm) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Chiefs. Goedert was already considered highly unlikely to play Monday after fracturing his right forearm in the Eagles' Week 9 win over Dallas, so it comes as little surprise that he's ultimately been ruled out for Philadelphia's first game coming out of a Week 10 bye. He didn't practice in any capacity this week, but Brooks Kubena of The Athletic relays that head coach Nick Sirianni expressed optimism that the tight end would be able to return before missing three more games. As a result, the Eagles have not placed him on injured reserve. Jack Stoll, Grant Calcaterra and perhaps Albert Okwuegbunam will see expanded reps at tight end until Goedert is ready to return to the field.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Not practicing Friday

Goedert (forearm) isn't practicing Friday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. While not officially ruled out this week, Goedert is expected to miss multiple games after suffering a broken forearm Week 9 against the Cowboys and subsequently having surgery. A Week 10 bye worked in his favor, but the Eagles nonetheless figure to rely on Jack Stoll, Grant Calcaterra (concussion) and/or Albert Okwuegbunam at tight end this Monday against the Chiefs.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Spectator for Thursday's practice

Goedert (forearm) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Goedert was in attendance for the Eagles' first official practice of Week 11, but the fact that he was merely watching the session comes as little surprise after he suffered a broken forearm in Philadelphia's Week 9 loss to Dallas on Nov. 5. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Goedert required surgery to address the injury, and the tight end is expected to face a recovery timeline of roughly four weeks. The Eagles haven't confirmed that timeline and have yet to officially rule Goedert out for Monday's game against the Chiefs coming off their Week 10 bye, but head coach Nick Sirianni acknowledged earlier Thursday that he's not counting on the tight end being available in Kansas City, per Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports. Expect the Eagles to formally rule Goedert out for Week 11 following the release of their final injury report Saturday.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Facing expected four-week absence

Goedert is expected to have surgery as soon as Monday to address a fractured right forearm and is likely facing a four-week recovery timeline, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The tight end suffered the injury late in the second half of Sunday's 28-23 win over the Cowboys and finished the game with three receptions for 50 yards on four targets. Though Goedert is scheduled to undergo an MRI early Monday before a final determination is made on surgery, the expectation is that he'll go under the knife later in the day. The Eagles are on bye in Week 10, so if the estimated four-week recovery timeline proves to be accurate, Goedert could avoid injured reserve if the team is optimistic he'll miss only three games rather than four. Once the team returns from its bye, the Eagles will presumably reassess Goedert and decide if he needs to placed on IR prior to a Nov. 20 matchup with Kansas City. Jack Stoll has been serving as the team's No. 2 tight end this season, but the Eagles could also lean more on Albert Okwuegbunam in Goedert's absence when they want more of a pass-catching threat on the field.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: To miss time with fractured forearm

Goedert suffered a fractured forearm in Sunday's 28-23 win over the Cowboys and is a candidate to go on injured reserve, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Goedert exited in the second half of Sunday's win after landing on his arm at the end of a catch-and-run. The tight end will get an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury, but even the most optimistic scenario at this point would likely result in him missing time. Philadelphia will be on bye in Week 10 before facing Kansas City in Week 11. Jack Stoll is the top candidate to take over the starting tight end role for the duration of Goedert's absence, with increased playing time possible for Grant Calcaterra (concussion) and Albert Okwuegbunam as well.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Won't return against Dallas

Goedert (forearm) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Goedert went to the locker room after falling awkwardly at the end of a catch in the second half. He was originally deemed questionable to return but has subsequently been ruled out. Goedert will finish Sunday's game with three catches for 50 yards on four targets. While the severity of Goedert's injury has yet to be clarified, the tight end will have the benefit of a Week 10 bye to recover before the Eagles return to action in a Week 11 Super Bowl rematch in Kansas City on Monday Night Football.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Has forearm injury

Goedert officially was diagnosed with a right forearm injury during Sunday's game versus the Cowboys, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. At the end of a 28-yard catch and run, Goedert had his right arm twisted to the ground and also landed hard on that region, which forced him to the locker room late in the third quarter. Per Zangaro, X-rays were ordered up for Goedert before he was deemed questionable to return. Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam are the only other healthy tight ends on the active roster with Grant Calcaterra (concussion) inactive.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Departs Sunday's game early

Goedert went to the locker room during Sunday's game against the Cowboys to have his right arm examined, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports. At the end of a 28-yard catch and run late in the third quarter, Goedert remained on the turf and was tended to by Eagles trainers before leaving the field. If he's unable to return, he'll come out of Week 9 with three receptions (on four targets) for 50 yards and no touchdowns. With Grant Calcaterra (concussion) inactive, Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam are the team's healthy and available tight ends.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Scores second TD on SNF

Goedert (groin) brought in all five of his targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Dolphins. A undermanned Dolphins defense had its hands full trying to contain Jalen Hurts and the Eagles' talented group of wideouts, creating plenty of mismatches for Goedert to take advantage of by going across the middle Sunday. The 28-year-old was limited by a groin injury during the practice week, but the tight end's play was clearly unaffected as he barreled into the end zone for his second touchdown in three weeks. Goedert's recent hot streak has helped erase a rough start to start the season, bringing his receiving line up to 31-324-2 heading into a division matchup against the Commanders next Sunday.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Good to go

Goedert (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Miami. Goedert was a limited practice participant throughout the week and should be ready for his usual three-down role Sunday night. He's produced just one big receiving line in six tries this year, but better days should be ahead given that his playing time and usage stats don't look much different from last season's.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Stays limited Thursday

Goedert (groin) was limited at Thursday's practice. Goedert is operating with a cap on his reps through the first two sessions of Week 7 prep. A groin injury is to blame, and Friday's practice report ultimately will reveal whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Dolphins.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Limited by groin issue

Goedert was a limited participant at Wednesday's walk-through practice due to a groin injury. Aside from turning in a 8-117-1 receiving line on nine targets Week 5 at the Rams, Goedert has accounted for just 18 catches (on 27 targets) for 130 yards and no scores in his other five contests this season. With a health concern in tow to kick off Week 7 prep, his status will be one to watch as the weekend approaches to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Monster game in win

Goedert had eight receptions on nine targets for 117 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-14 win over the Rams. Goedert finally broke out with a monster fantasy line following a pedestrian start to the year in which he averaged just 22 receiving yards with no touchdowns over his first four contests. The 28-year-old actually surpassed the combined fantasy production from his four-game slump in one go Sunday. While this was a step in the right direction, Goedert will have to generate consistent results in order to become a top fantasy tight end. He can help accomplish that with a strong follow-up performance against the Jets in Week 6.
