Cardinals' Zay Jones: Officially shifts to IR
The Cardinals placed Jones (Achilles) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed Wednesday that Jones suffered an Achilles tear during Arizona's loss to the Seahawks in Week 10, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports, meaning the veteran wideout is ruled out of the rest of the season. He now faces a difficult road to recovery ahead of the 2026 campaign. Jones inked a one-year, $4.4 million contract to remain with Arizona last March, so he's scheduled to hit free agency in the upcoming offseason.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: To be placed on IR
Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday that Jones will be placed on injured reserve due to an Achilles injury, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Gannon didn't specifically say that Jones tore his Achilles, but he'll miss at least the next four games as a result of the injury that he sustained during Sunday's loss at Seattle. Through eight appearances this season, Jones has hauled in 12 of 18 targets for 183 yards and no touchdowns. Greg Dortch figures to take on a larger role in Jones' absence.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Hurts Achilles on Sunday
Jones won't return to Sunday's game at Seattle due to an Achilles injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Jones went to the turf after an incompletion in his direction in the middle of the second quarter, and trainers specifically were tending to his lower left leg. After he was carted to the locker room, Arizona announced the nature of the injury. Through eight appearances this season, Jones has 12 catches (on 18 targets) for 183 yards and no touchdowns.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Cleared to play this week
Jones (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Seattle, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
He played through the same injury last week, handling a 52 percent snap share without seeing a target in the 27-17 win over Dallas. Jones should be fine to fill his usual role as the No. 3 WR in a TE-centric offense.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Limited again Thursday
Jones (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Jones' knee issue has impacted his practice reps since Week 6 prep, but he's been able to suit up for each of Arizona's last three games, netting 146 yards and no touchdowns on seven catches (10 targets) during that span. Friday's injury report will unveil whether or not he heads into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest at Seattle.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Remains limited
Jones (knee) was limited at Wednesday's walkthrough, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Jones again is dealing with the knee injury that has lingered since Week 6 prep (in advance of Arizona's last three games). He's suited up for all three and combined for seven catches (on 10 targets) for 146 yards and no touchdowns while working with QB Jacoby Brissett. With Kyler Murray's (foot) placement on IR on Wednesday, Jones will be on the receiving end of passes from Brissett for at least the next four contests, assuming the wide receiver is healthy enough to be active himself.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: No targets in Week 9
Jones wasn't targeted during Monday's 27-17 victory at Dallas.
Jones emerged from the Cardinals' Week 8 bye with practice restrictions due to a lingering knee issue, and while he proceeded to log a 52 percent snap share that was in his usual range, he was blanked in the box score for the second time in seven appearances this season. Jones is firmly behind Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson in the pecking order at wideout, making him a hit-or-miss fantasy option.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Green light for Week 9
Jones (knee) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Cowboys.
Jones has been working through a lingering knee issue since early October. His practice reps were limited Thursday and Friday, but he's avoided an injury tag for Week 9 after practicing without restrictions Saturday. Jones recorded seven catches (on 10 targets) for 146 yards over the two games prior to the Cardinals' Week 8 bye. Jacoby Brissett was the starter in those two games, and the veteran quarterback will draw the start against Dallas while Kyler Murray -- who is listed as questionable for Week 9 due to a foot sprain -- will serve as the backup if active.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Limited again Friday
Jones (knee) was a limited practice participant Friday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
In the wake of the Cardinals' Week 8 bye, Jones continues to tend to the knee injury that has bothered him since Week 6 prep. With back-to-back capped sessions under his belt this week, he likely will need to log a full practice Saturday in order to avoid a designation for Monday's game at Dallas. If Jones is able to suit up Week 9, the question remains who between Kyler Murray and Jacoby Brissett will be under center, as Murray remains limited due to a lingering mid-foot sprain.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Still dealing with knee injury
Jones (knee) practiced on a limited basis Thursday.
Jones appears to be dealing with the same knee issue that capped his practice reps before the Cardinals' last two games before a Week 8 bye. While working with fill-in QB Jacoby Brissett with Kyler Murray (foot) inactive for those contests, Jones hauled in seven of 10 passes for 146 yards and no touchdowns (after combining for a 5-37-0 line on seven targets in his first four appearances of the season). There's a chance Brissett again leads Arizona's offense Monday at Dallas, as Murray kicked off Week 9 prep as a limited participant as well.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Available in Week 7
Jones (knee) is active for Sunday's game versus the Packers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Despite just one appearance in practice this week -- he was limited Friday -- Jones will play through a knee injury but remain the Cardinals' No. 3 WR, at best, behind Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson. In five appearances this season, Jones has put together a 10-116-0 line on 15 targets.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Questionable for Sunday
Jones (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Packers, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
After beginning the week with three wide receivers either limited or not practicing, the Cardinals have cleared Marvin Harrison (concussion) and Michael Wilson (foot) for Week 7 action, while Jones' status remains up in the air after logging just one capped session (Friday). Jones has served as the team's No. 3 WR this season when healthy, but if he's inhibited or even sidelined Sunday, Greg Dortch would be the likely beneficiary among the team's remaining options at the position.
