Jets' Al Woods: Strikes deal with New York
Woods agreed to a contract with the Jets on Wednesday, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.
Woods will head to New York after spending the past three years in Seattle, where he registered 121 tackles (69 solo) and 4.5 sacks during his time there. The 36-year-old should provide solid depth and could even compete with Quinton Jefferson for a starting role at defensive tackle during the upcoming campaign.

Seahawks' Al Woods: Appears set to return
Woods (Achilles) logged a full practice session Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
An Achilles injury resulted in Woods sitting out each of Seattle's past two games, but his ability to fully participate in practice Wednesday suggests that the nose tackle will be able to return New Year's Day against the Jets, barring any setbacks. Woods racked up 37 tackles, two sacks and a pass defense over 12 contests prior to suffering the injury.

Seahawks' Al Woods: Remains out Week 16
Woods (Achilles) has been ruled out for Saturday against the Chiefs, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Woods will miss his second game in a row while dealing with an Achilles injury. The 35-year-old did not manage to return to practice Tuesday or Wednesday, so it's unclear if he'll be able to work his way back before Seattle's next game against the Jets on Sunday, Jan. 1. With Bryan Mone now set to miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, expect Daviyon Nixon to start at nose tackle after signing with the Seahawks on Wednesday.

Woods (Achilles) has been ruled inactive ahead of Thursday Night Football against the 49ers.
Woods was forced out with what was initially deemed as a heel injury during Sunday's loss to the Panthers. This was then changed to an Achilles designation on Monday's injury report, and he was sidelined for each session during the short week of practice. With Woods out, expect Bryan Mone to step up into a starting role Thursday night.
