Dick was recalled to the NBA club from the G League's Raptors 905, but he won't play in Friday's game versus the Knicks due to an illness, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Dick wasn't seeing consistent playing time at the NBA level, so he's been playing in the G League recently. He scored 21 points (7-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt) during the Raptors 905 125-114 win over Maine on Friday but is now under the weather. Even when he clears the aliment, the rookie isn't expected to garner a rotational role for Toronto.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Remains in G League
Dick will remain on assignment with the G League's Raptors 905 and won't be available for Toronto's matchup versus Brooklyn on Tuesday, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. Dick played double-digit minutes in 11 of his first 14 NBA appearances, but he was shooting just 27.0 percent from the field, so Toronto sent him to the G League to gain some confidence. His stint with Raptors 905 should be brief, but Dick isn't guaranteed playing time when he's eventually recalled.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Gradey Dick: Headed to G League
The Raptors assigned Dick to the Raptors 905 of the G League on Saturday, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Dick won't be available for Sunday's game versus Cleveland while on G League assignment. However, the rookie forward will likely rejoin the NBA club after a brief stint with the Raptors 905.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Gradey Dick: Reaches double figures in start
Dick accumulated 11 points (2-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 128-112 loss to the Bucks. Dick replaced Otto Porter in the starting lineup, reaching double figures in scoring despite continuing his shooting struggles. Dick tallied his second game of 10 or more points this season, posting his highest scoring total since notching a season-high 16 points Oct. 28 against Chicago. Through 11 games, Dick has shot just 29.4 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from three.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Gradey Dick: Gets extended playing time in loss
Dick finished with 16 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 28 minutes during Saturday's 114-107 loss to the 76ers. After playing a combined eight minutes over the first two games, Dick was on the floor for 28 minutes and had an efficient scoring night. He led the bench in both minutes and points and was one of only three Raptors players to finish with a positive point differential. It's worth noting that Toronto was playing the second of a back-to-back, which likely contributed to the extended minutes, but Dick's efficient night may have earned him more minutes moving forward.... Raptors' Gradey Dick: Shows out in Summer League finale
Dick recorded 21 points (8-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, two steals and one block in 27 minutes during Saturday's 108-101 Summer League win over the Warriors. Dick displayed his impressive shot-making ability Saturday, which was presumably one of the main reasons why Toronto opted to select him in the lottery during the 2023 NBA Draft. The sharpshooter also showed off his defensive potential, which will likely need to continue if he hopes to carve out a substantial role as a rookie.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Gradey Dick: Good to go Saturday
Dick (undisclosed) is available for Saturday's Summer League game against the Warriors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Dick missed the Raptor's previous outing against Brooklyn but will suit up Saturday. The No. 13 pick in the NBA Draft should be one of the Raptors' starters versus Golden State.... See More ... Raptors' Gradey Dick: Won't play Thursday
Dick has been ruled out for Thursday's Summer League game against the Nets for an undisclosed reason, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Dick led the Raptors in scoring during Wednesday's Summer League loss to the Pistons, but he'll be held out in the second half of the back-to-back set. It's unclear whether he's dealing with an injury or when he'll be able to return to the court.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Gradey Dick: Paces Raptors in points
Dick secured 22 points (8-19 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 31 minutes of Wednesday's 94-90 loss to the Pistons during Summer League. Despite going ice-cold from beyond the arc, Dick put together a very strong performance, finishing with a game-high 22 points while finding contributions outside of the scoring column. Though Dick is 5-for-22 from deep through three Summer League contests, he's showcased an ability to impact the game as a rebounder and off-ball cutter, traits that could help him earn more playing time with Toronto this season.... Raptors' Gradey Dick: Mediocre production in blowout loss
Dick recorded 11 points (5-13 FG, 1-3 3PT), eight rebounds and four assists over 24 minutes in Sunday's 99-76 loss to the Cavaliers during Summer League. The 13th overall pick struggled to find his shot once again in the Raptors' second Summer League game, but he led the team in rebounding and tied for team highs in points and assists. Dick's scoring woes should not be a major concern at this point, and his ability to impact the game in ways other than scoring bodes well for his chances of cracking the team's rotation during the regular season.... Raptors' Gradey Dick: Struggles in debut
Dick recorded 10 points (3-12 FG, 2-9 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and three steals across 30 minutes in Friday's 83-74 Summer League defeat to Chicago. Taken with the 13th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Dick is definitely the featured player on a Summer League roster that doesn't have much NBA experience. Despite his struggles, Dick's ability to stretch the floor could earn him playing time right away in Toronto as their second unit has been in need of an overhaul.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Gradey Dick: Drafted by Toronto at No. 13
Dick was selected by the Raptors with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Dick spent his lone collegiate season at Kansas, where he averaged 14.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game en route to Second Team All-Big 12 honors. Outside shooting is his main selling point, as the wing drilled 2.3 threes per game at 40.3 percent as a freshman. That said, he's much more than a spot-up threat, and his 6-foot-8 frame allows him to finish over smaller defenders at the rim when needed. Dick plays with intensity on both ends of the floor, though defense is his weak point right now. He should be a contributor in Toronto's rotation right away, but his immediate role is somewhat unclear -- particularly after Gary Trent picked up his player option for 2023-24.... See More ...
