  • Omari Spellman: Signs in Korea

Spellman has signed a contract with Korean club Anyang KGC, Jung Ji-wook of JumpBall reports. Spellman appeared in 95 NBA games between the Hawks and the Warriors after being drafted by Atlanta with the 30th overall pick in 2018. It's possible he makes his way back to the NBA eventually since he's just 24 years old.

  • Omari Spellman: Productive against Westchester

Spellman compiled 17 points (5-6 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block over 22 minutes in Friday's 130-124 loss to Westchester. Spellman totaled four points (1-10 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal over 24 minutes in Tuesday's 106-103 win over the Mad Ants. Spellman was incredibly inefficient and shot just 10 percent from the floor Tuesday, but he led the BayHawks on the boards during the narrow victory over Fort Wayne. He's been in the starting lineup for five of the first nine games of the season, averaging 8.1 points and 5.8 rebounds over 22.7 minutes per contest during that time.

Spellman posted eight points (4-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt), 10 rebounds and three steals over 29 minutes in Wednesday's 127-87 win over the G League Ignite. Spellman joined the starting five for the first time this season against the Ignite, but he was the only starter for the BayHawks to not score in double figures Wednesday. However, he put up a team-high 10 rebounds in the blowout win. He's now averaging 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds over 22.1 minutes per game to begin the year, although it's not yet clear whether his starting role will continue.

  • Omari Spellman: Scores 15 against Austin

Spellman logged 15 points (5-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two blocks and one assist over 26 minutes in Saturday's 115-108 loss to the Austin Spurs. Spellman has carved out a consistent role off the bench early in the G League season, and he was one of the team's top contributors in Saturday's loss. The 23-year-old should continue to see considerable usage for the BayHawks this year, even if he remains in a bench role.
