Milton officially signed with the Knicks and will be available against the Hawks on Tuesday, Stefan Bondy of the New York Post reports. Milton agreed to a buyout with the Pistons on Friday and needed to wait until he cleared waivers to join the Knicks. While he'll be available Tuesday, Milton isn't guaranteed playing time, though there'll be depth minutes available if Jalen Brunson (knee) is downgraded to out.... See More ... See Less

Knicks' Shake Milton: Bound for New York
Milton plans to sign with the Knicks upon clearing waivers during the upcoming week, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Milton and the Pistons agreed to a contract buyout Friday, and it didn't take long for the guard to find a new home. Because that transaction happened before the Friday deadline, Milton will be eligible for the playoffs. He's likely in store for a limited role off the bench with the Knicks.... See More ... Shake Milton: Bought out by Detroit
Detroit and Milton agreed to a contract buyout Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The two sides were able to complete the transaction prior to the deadline Friday, so Milton will be eligible to compete in the playoffs if he signs with a new team. He's expected to draw interest from several contenders, and it became apparent quickly that he was never a major part of Detroit's plans after being acquired from Minnesota at the trade deadline. In 42 appearances this season between the Pistons and Timberwolves, Milton has averaged 4.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.2 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Shake Milton: Grabs season-high nine boards
Milton produced 13 points (4-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 116-100 loss to the Suns. Milton continues to find his footing with Detroit after being moved at the trade deadline, leading all Pistons bench players in scoring while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total and ending one rebound shy of a double-double. Milton set a season high in rebounds, surpassing his previous season high of six rebounds recorded in the first half of Detroit's back-to-back Tuesday. Milton has tallied at least 10 points in six games, his first game in double figures since posting 12 points Dec. 11 with Minnesota.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Shake Milton: Set to debut Saturday
Milton (recently traded) is available for Saturday's game versus the Clippers, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Milton is set to make his Detroit debut Saturday after being upgraded from questionable to available. However, it's unclear what role Milton will play with his new team.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Shake Milton: Questionable for Saturday
Milton (trade pending) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Clippers. The Pistons moved Monte Morris in exchange for Milton and Troy Brown, both of whom are questionable to make their debuts. Milton's path to playing time won't be much easier in Detroit, as Marcus Sasser has been playing really well for the Pistons.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Shake Milton: Traded to Detroit
The Pistons acquired Milton, Troy Brown and a future second-round pick from the Timberwolves on Wednesday in exchange for Monte Morris, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Milton will join a crowded backcourt in Detroit, where he'll fight for reserve minutes behind point guard Cade Cunningham with Killian Hayes and Marcus Sasser. Milton will presumably miss Wednesday's game in Sacramento, but he could be available Thursday in Portland if his trade to Detroit is finalized before then.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Fails to score in three minutes
Milton ended with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) in three minutes during Friday's 122-95 win over the Rockets. Milton continues to be used sparingly by the Timberwolves, having played fewer than five minutes in six consecutive games. He was out of the rotation completely for three of those six games, highlighting what a struggle it has been thus far. Based on his current role, Milton is not even worth considering in deeper formats.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Strong from deep Friday
Milton finished with 17 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 22 minutes in Friday's 127-103 win over Memphis. Milton connected on a trio of threes while ending as one of seven Timberwolves with a double-digit point total in his highest scoring effort of the campaign. Milton has surpassed the 10-point mark in four contests this season, connecting on at least two threes in three outings.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Sees 23 minutes Saturday
Milton produced six points (2-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Saturday's 123-117 win over the Hornets. Minnesota used an eight-man rotation Saturday in the absence of Anthony Edwards (hip), allowing Milton to match his highest workload of the season. Milton's role has been pretty minimal this campaign, as Nickeil Alexander-Walker's strong play has made it hard for Milton's fantasy value to surface.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Reaches double figures off bench
Milton chipped in 10 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two steals across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 122-101 win over the Pelicans. Milton led all Wolves bench players in scoring and steals while matching his season-high point total in the victory at home. Milton has tallied 10 or more points in two contests this season, notching two or more steals in three outings to boost Minnesota defensively.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Good to go
Milton (foot) will play against Denver on Wednesday. Milton was initially tabbed as probable for the contest with left foot soreness, and he'll suit up. Through three games, Milton has averaged 5.3 points, 2.3 assists and 1.7 rebounds across 18.3 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Likely to suit up Wednesday
Milton is probable for Wednesday's game versus the Nuggets due to left foot soreness. Milton was deemed questionable with a foot injury before playing Monday, so it appears that his injury isn't serious. The 27-year-old guard should continue to function as Minnesota's backup point guard.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Cleared to play
Milton (foot) is available for Monday's matchup against the Hawks, Chris Hine of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Milton was a late addition to the injury report but will still suit up Monday. The backup guard has garnered a modest role thus far, averaging 19.5 minutes across two games.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Added to injury report
Milton is questionable for Monday's game against Atlanta due to left foot soreness. Milton wasn't on the Timberwolves' initial injury report, but his availability is in question the morning of the game. He's averaged 19.5 minutes per game over his first two appearances of the year, so if Milton is sidelined, Jordan McLaughlin and Nickeil Alexander-Walker would be candidates for increased run.... Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Efficient in Thursday's win
Milton recorded 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds, an assist and a steal across 20 minutes off the bench in Thursday's 111-99 preseason win over the Mavericks. Milton was one of Minnesota's most productive players Thursday, though preseason stats should always be taken with a grain of salt. The six-year veteran will likely have a steady role off the bench for the Timberwolves while also making some starts here and there. He averaged 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 0.7 triples across 20.6 minutes in 76 games during the 2022-23 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Shake Milton: Teaming with Timberwolves
Milton has agreed on a two-year, $10 million deal with Minnesota, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Milton spent his first five seasons with the 76ers. He averaged 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds 3.2 assists and 0.7 triples across 20.6 minutes in 76 games this past season. With Mike Conley and Anthony Edwards locked in as the Timberwolves starting backcourt, Milton will compete with the likes of Jordan McLaughlin, Jaylen Nowell and Nickeil Alexander-Walker for depth minutes.... 76ers' Shake Milton: Back in bench role for Game 1
Milton will return to the bench for Saturday's Game 1 versus the Nets. Milton drew starts in the final two games of the regular season, but the team will turn back to its regular starters to open the postseason. He should still log healthy minutes off the bench as a depth guard.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Shake Milton: Career-high 16 assists in victory
Milton totaled 15 points (7-22 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and 16 assists across 43 minutes during Friday's 136-131 overtime win over the Hawks. Milton went crazy in the loss, handing out a career-high 16 assists as the 76ers opted to rest their entire starting five. This is a side of Milton's game we don't usually see, even when he is afforded additional playing time. It is unclear whether the team will rest its stars again Sunday. However, if that is the case, Milton makes for an intriguing pickup, despite the fact all 30 teams will be in action.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Shake Milton: Gets starting nod Friday
Milton will start Friday's game against the Hawks. With the Sixers resting all of their starters, Milton gets the nod at point guard and will be joined by Georges Niang, Jaden Springer, Jalen McDaniels and Paul Reed. Across his previous nine starts this season, Milton has averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds in 38.1 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less

The Knicks are and will remain up 2-0. The Sixers wanted to voice their displeasure with the officiating and felt this was the best path.
